I honestly have no idea what the games are truly about. When the other remake came along about three-or-so years ago, I watched its cutscenes, and enjoyed the dialogue & music accompanying them so - it was fairly different from what I am used to watch. I've got a vague idea of what the story tells, and never really considered playing it myself because of my older siblings, whom would give me the weird looks for indulging in such a _different_ game. I'm here for this one now, and I see it hasn't lost its vibe. Everything in the cinematics, the game's world, is sort of... lovely, or looks thus anyways. This is new to me. Now, what could _you,_ as a follower, tell me about 'em?

Well without the whispers to interfere Zack is straight killing Sephiroth if he thinks he can shishkabob Aerith again. Now we know for a fact plot armor is an actual macanic in this game Zack by right should have fended Sephiroth of at Mt. Nibel. But fate itself had him lose and be captured. I myself have been saying it since Crisis Core that a man that was overdosed and poisoned, chased for weeks dragging a vegetable with him while fighting off an entire army, slays a God while doing so right after fighting someone only weaker than Sephiroth, should have put up more of a fight while fully healthy.
Take note, boys, he accepts her rejection of going on a date with him but he doesn't treat her any differently after and keeps his head high. And you bet that she found that aspect of his personality interesting.
"When you go above, I'll be with you." (Zack). Wow, the writing is amazing... 😭 It could also allude to Aerith's death later one, and that Zack will be waiting.
Don't need the two to reunite as lovers for it to be a good story, eventhough i wouldn't mind it. But given they included him the remakes, it would be beyond riddiculous if the devs don't put them togheter in a scene so they can get proper closure atleast. She can get answers to what happend and he can get to say goodbye and they can agree that life screwed them over.

Even if it's not with Aerith at this point I just want anything good to happen to my guy. I'm tired of Zack getting dragged and shafted. Rebirth was not kind to Zack regardless of the ships. Even if he's alone again can they at least unlock his materia and let us play my guy for more than 2 minutes?

What i saw was 2 different instances of Cloud with Sephiroth and Aerith in that scene. In one scene, Cloud blocked Sephiroth's sword and Aerith was okay. In the other one, Sephiroth landed the killing blow on Aerith and there was ALOT of blood. What does this tell people? There's 2 very different possibilies here. And since they're toying with multiverse now, these is 100% a universe (or more?) where Aerith lives. @@funkyfranx well the actual complelling evidence is the Cloud he has with him and the uncomcious Aerith in the trailers (which could be a deflection). The stamp thing can easily be dismissed as them having created an entire new timeline they all end up in. We'll only know for sure when we see the stamps while with Cloud's party
and they intentionally patch Remake to change her one line referencing the sky at the end. She went from "I miss it. The Steel Sky" to "This Sky, I don't like it"
I can definitely see where Aerith gets her playful teasing from. The sad part is, that behavior feels more like a defense mechanism for her whenever she interacts with Cloud because he’s similar to Zack in some ways but she knows he isn’t the same. She misses Zack and who can blame her?
They never where a couple. Aerith denied that Zack is her boyfriend because they just meet. And she never hold his hand and they never got serious. I watched the whole game and analysed it. They never had really time to blossom, cause Zack always was busy and prioritized his work over Aerith even in his free day.. :(

Because in a sense when you're playing you're entering immersion mode to understand the story more, and since we're the one moving the characters we can fewl the feelings being portrayed more.. Furthermore, One solid proof is that she wrotes 89+ letters for Zack for four years! Now can you still deny that they're a couple?
I love the dynamic between the two. You can tell a bit of his personality rubbed off on her by the time she met Cloud. Zack's fucking voice acting is killing me though...
He sounds like an alien pretending to be human sometimes. I want to believe that the static character acting in CC doesn't help very much though and adds to the awkwardness

This is generally true more often than not as a more neutral observer. The amount of aggression, be it passive or direct, coming from Clerith fans makes it much harder to cheer for Cloud and Aerith. Personally I prefer the Cloud x Zack friendship above the ships and Cissnei is my favorite girl. I'm not that invested in the shipping wars but I want Zack to be happy and have good things happen.
What pisses me off is that i wish the writers who made FF7 never let Zack die in the first place. Specially when he has summons, n etc to fight against shinra...
Nomura said he wanted to use Reunion for part 2 but couldn't use it because Crisis Core already did. So they settled for Rebirth instead as the part 2 name. My understanding is they already knew what they wanted part 3 to be called before part 2, and part 3 wasn't/isn't Reunion
Man this kills me. To think tseng and zack were good friends. Bothers me how much Tseng really become so low after zacks death. Ive always wondered how did Tseng feel after finding out they couldnt save him.
He felt like absolute sh*t. When Tseng was injured at the Temple of Ancients and looked like he wasn't going to make it, Aerith says to him, "I've never ever hated you" that was in regards to letting Zack die. Aerith new Zack was dead she felt him die herself and it was Tseng who told her. The stuff about no letters no calls in Gongaga and Aerith acting funny saying he was with other girls is a form of extreme denial or avoiding the topic.
A beutiful relasionchip with tragic fate for this two. They helped eachother , they have the same character kind and saw good . Zack he doesent care if she was Achient and return to Midgar to come back to her. Aerith she waiting him all this years she dont know what happening to him she changed and start selling flowers even and up to the slums . She feel his death but she dont know where he was. In original FFVII she dies three months after his death. In Remake we dont know what happening with this two i hope reunited.
I would like the post-credits of part 3 to give Zack the chance to be with Aerith. The guy really deserves it. Imagine a scene with grandchildren in Gongaga

We'll put your guy on the cover but only give you scraps. So I'm leaning towards that whatever Zack is doing in part 3 it won't be with Aerith. He might get development with Cissnei, Yuffie, or Tifa but I'm convinced at this point that Zack and Aerith will never be shown together on screen again. If Aerith appears in part 3 it'll be only to Cloud, and she'll probably be holding hands again with Cloud as they send the lifestream wave thing at Meteor. I could be wrong you never know and at the very least I just want anything good to happen to Zack regardless of Aerith.

need female perspective here. and please treat it not as a zackXaerithXcloud thing but as if a friend is trying to get your opinion for her relationship. lets say you had a boyfriend, lets say highschool age. you two got along. your sense of humor is on point. chemistry with each other is a ton high. dates with him are magical. everything you do with him feels as if the world is so naturally building up the world around you. the works. a perfect disney couple. perfect enough that he gave you a gift that you would wear for years and years to come, and start a business that the two of you came up with. but he had to leave town because of reasons. years would pass and you wouldnt hear a thing from him. you would continue doing the "business" you two built up. even your mom knows that you are still waiting for him. time passes by like that and you are now in your college/uni. then suddenly you met someone that has a semblance of him. except he is nothing like him. your sense of humor doesnt line up, in fact, he has no sense of humor at all. theres no chemistry, to the point that every date you got from him, you need to force him to be able to do anything at all. you got on a date(that you need to force unto him) you wanted him to pick a gift for you, you still needed to force that into him and when he picked something up, its as if the world is against it and you got something else than the thing he picked. you wanted to eat a snack with him, but again, the snack he picked was unavailable and the replacement that you two got was not good at all. now, what are your thoughts about the new guy? and if the first guy ever shows up again, what would you do? (im asking not to start a ship war or something like that btw. im just here to understand from different perspective)
i dont get it. cloud and aerith have plenty of chemistry. even more so in remake and rebirth. their body language, the way they banter. i have a feeling people who don't see that have never been in love before. actually, their dynamic reminds me of when i fall for someone. i don't personally see how zack and aerith's chemistry compares to cloud and aerith.

Not to kill the vibe, and kinda unrelated, but I don’t understand how the “Cloud only likes Aerith because of Zack” is a thing? Cloud doesn’t recognise her at all, nor does he even try to flirt or anything with her. So how does this implication make sense? Something has got me thinking too, about FF7 Remake. We know Aerith has all or some knowledge of the original FF7, so if she truly does know about Cloud’s troubled mental state, isn’t she essentially abusing him? I mean if she believes his feelings aren’t real because of the Zack nonsense, then she’s a terrible person for flirting with Cloud, and going out her way to spend more time with him, which could potentially make him fall for her. Which leads to the scene in FF7 Remake where she tells him not to fall in love with her, and that it’s not real. I sincerely hope she says that ONLY because she knows she’s gonna die, and not because of the Zack thing. Otherwise she’s messed with his head for her own selfish reasons, to the detriment of Cloud. If she truly believes he only likes her because of his messed up mental state, she shouldn’t of acted and behaved like she did/does, only to then state he can’t fall in love with her and that it’s not real. No Aerith, you shouldn’t let it go this far if you believe Cloud only likes you because of Zack, knowing damn well if that’s the case it’s bound to lead to him being attracted and/or falling in love with you.
@@reginageorge3399 I have no problem with Clerith, I just don’t think Zack affects how Cloud feels about Aerith. I have no problem with Cloud and Aerith being together, but only if it’s healthy. As in she’s not messing with him by liking him because of her ex, and going out her way to be with him only to later say it’s not real, don’t fall for me etc. Honestly I don’t mind either pairing, Cloti or Clerith, I’m happy for any of those to be canon. But what I don’t like is the ambiguity. Imagine if in Twilight (awful romance imo) by the end everyone was still uncertain who Bella chose. People, especially me, would then be asking what was the point? Why introduce the Edward and Jacob thing for it to go nowhere, or for it to remain a mystery. There’s other examples in film too. So in regards to FF7 why devote so much time to a love triangle if it goes nowhere with a clear resolution? I just hope the remake finally puts this to bed, and has Cloud choose either Aerith or Tifa because to me, it’s annoying to have such an important part of the game remain unclear. I have no problem with mysteries, but only if they are mostly solved by the end of it all. So either make a canon pairing, or do some Mass Effect and Dragon Age thing that lets you pick what is your chosen canon.
Hmm its still debatable if it was actually OG aerith who talked to him during her resolution scene. Because in the OG its hinted (because of the game play) that soldier cloud had "affection" for her. Also, she wasn't exactly flirting with cloud in the remake. She did that to push tifa forward. She wants those two to be together. If anything I believe aerith wants to properly be friends with cloud this time around. There's a really huge difference with her attitude in OG in terms of being flirty. At least to me she looks more like an older sister who knows it all. Now when it comes to zack, I have confidence that she has always only loved him. Otherwise the whole execution of the whole reunion theme would be ruined lol (for both pairs) if cloud and aerith actually wasn't just a red herring but had actual value. Tbh I feel bad for true cloud who didn't get a say with his own body lol and zack who died while thinking of meeting her. Or tifa who waited and became patient and understanding only to be second place despite always being the main love interest for true cloud. Its just messed up ahhaah. Id think its also messed up how aerith can move on so fast Despite waiting 5 years for zack even when she knows he might already be dead (just goes to show her desperation to be with someone like zack in soldier cloud). Btw she never met the real cloud, only told him that she might want to meet him instead (maybe she was feeling guilty after ...well kind of using him as a rebound, i doubt its love when cloud was literally unwell otherwise she's taking advantage of a vulnerable person with more than just an amnesia haha). But yeah, if it wasnt OG aerith in the resolution scene...then that only means that she failed to keep cloud's (zack influenced) feelings away (but lol its super random though) and people thought he was here confessing his undying love after a few days /hours of knowing eachother (i didn't even see infatuation there tbh but they did despite the remake heavily gearing onto tifa way to much haha). Maybe its not something she can control because Zack and Aerith have their own strong connection. But hey, we shall find out. All I know is that she isn't abusive at least and it's both her dying and the Zack thing.

Make it make sense. Not to mention, Aerith rejected Zack in the lifestream. And yes, the book is official, recently confirmed by Square Enix because Clotis kept saying their own materials don't matter. I'm pretty sure that the book also doesn't contradict the OG, cause it was based on those informations. There is a video on RU-vid called "The Zacloud Fallacy". I truly recommend it, as well as the other videos of that person, which go in depth in regards to Cloud and Aerith's relationship. The devs also confirmed in an interview how Aerith's words contradict her own feelings in the resolution scene.

I believe the only things he took from Zack are his stories and adventures, but apart from that he is nothing like him, with none of his memories or feelings. Are you referring to “The Maiden Who Travels The Planet?” Because I’m fairly certain that’s the only time Aerith is with Zack and talking to him etc. And from what I heard this was stated to be non-canon by most people and even the developers I think. But “On the Way to a Smile - Lifestream White” is canon and has Aerith state she loved Cloud, and had so many things she wanted to tell him, but never knew what to say and how. It doesn’t contradict the OG i don’t think, but I just heard it was considered non-canon by everyone. I personally love both women and wouldn’t mind Cloud officially ending up with either of them. But it’s clear both girls love Cloud, Tifa loving him first as shown in the “Traces Of Two Pasts” novel, while Aerith probably doesn’t start falling for him until near the end of the FF7 Remake. What I’m worried about is all this multiverse time mumbo jumbo stuff they are doing. And they might make Zack way too prominent in part 2 and 3 at the possible expense of Cloud. Also the fact he’s alive and they show him at the end of Intergrade looking for Aerith, they will probably have Zack and Aerith get together again. If Aerith would get back with him at this point I don’t know, maybe she’ll of fallen for Cloud by the time they reunite, maybe she’ll get back with him no question, or maybe it will be some awkward love square. Point is I’m not excited for Rebirth and am instead cautiously optimistic that it’s not gonna be a convoluted mess like Kingdom Heart’s.
Rebirth was very Cloud x Aerith heavy and Zack didn't get a single conversation with Aerith. Zack was also shafted gameplaywise into scarce cutscenes despite being on the cover of the game. Probably gonna need that riot gear in 3 years my man
That’s because they literally kept with THE SAME animations made IN 2007 for the psp💀 Square enix was really lazy for that- i mean if they kept those animations, they could have kept the same voice acting too lmao

I think Zack> Cloud. Cloud is cold asf 2/3 game. And flirts with both girls. I think Aerith & Tifa didn’t deserve this. After many years it’s always love war. But girls are the best. And even if Zack had very little screen time in OG you could see he cared a lot about Cloud and that he still had Aerith in mind when they were going back to Midgar. Many people say Zack got changed in FF7 AC and CC, but it's not true, he was already a very good guy and was still thinking about Aerith in OG
How does aerith not recognize the buster sword in rebirth ? Not even tifa recognize it. They're like "he definitely does know zack" while cloud carrys Zacks sword.
they may have recognized her but they still don't want to tell cloud, there is a lot of dialogue between tifa and aerith that we don't see. also cisnei tells you that she knows you but doesn't tell you from where.
Because Aerith last saw Zack 4-5 years ago. Zack had a different sword before Angeal. So she has no good memory how Zacks sword looks like. Also due to the fact, they meed so little and for a short time cause Zack is always busy.

Zack’s voice acting is so off putting 😭 I know they changed all the voice actors but couldn’t they at least have got someone who sounded more emotive and confident? The delivery doesn’t fit Zack’s personality at all.
