I think using his limit break AGAIN after it's charged makes him use "finishing touch" which is the tornado-looking move you mistake for an improved smash attack.

I think him being stunned on the boat in the trailer is supposed to be a reference to him always getting motion sick in the game. Also love your mosey reference, thats like my favorite line in the whole game lol.
it seems that Cloud will have problems recovering, his second jump doesn't go so high, and he only has vertical recovery; he has no means to move horizontaly in the air (unlike Marth for example with fully charged Shield Breaker)
The scene on the Windwaker ship is a homage to Cloud getting motion sickness in FF7 . Also, in Dissidia : Final Fantasy, Cloud charges his Limit Break.

+123Atheist now the question is: how to portrait Isaac correctly? I think his summons could be his special attacks... just to make him different. Quake, Spikes, Thorns, etc should be part of his normal moveset like Smash attacks.
Benjamin gutierrez oriol What i imagined was having Psynergy as his normal moveset as well and maybe give special moves like Ragnarok,Move and Retreat as his specials. His down special should utilize the Djinn mechanic somehow and maybe have summons as well but i'd really like if they made Judgment his final smash. They could even have the Djinn as his neutral B and have you input a direction after to choose the element. Maybe have a stacking mechanic as well? For his grabs i was thinking he'd use a giant psynergy hand with a large grab box a small distance from him that misses if the opponent is too close. Then different utility psynergy can be used for his throws.
I see a lot of negative feedback regarding Cloud's announcement, and one can't help but wonder why? I mean, I've never actually had the chance to try Final Fantasy VII, but I hear lots about it, Final Fantasy has a long history with Nintendo, it's the second-best selling RPG video game (second only to Pokémon,) and he seems to represent the series best, (though I might vouch for Black Mage.) The most likely answer is that he originated, and mostly shows up on SONY's platforms, but, who cares?
The reason they put him against Ike is because there's a community video made when SSBB came out called Brawl Taunts. In the second video tere's a reference when a nerd comes on screen and says "Hey Guys! You know what would be cool?! If they added cloud from FF7!". After this Ike comes on screen and punches the nerd saying "You'll get no sympathy from me. I'm the only pretty boy in this game...bitch!" I guess they listened to the community, and Cloud heard Ike talking shit.
I think the limit breaks are either like Little mac and the K.O punch or Lucario's aura. Maybe after a certain a mount of waiting, taking hits or attacking will charge the limit and when that happens you could possibly use one special as an limit break because the limit breaks have there own little zoom in animation like when little mac lands the K.O punch, everything zooms in and slows down just like what we saw Cloud do with the limit breaks. I also think you should have went into a tiny bit more detail on Clouds projectile, Blade beam. On 3:10, the beam is strong enough to launch Bowser, BOWSER AKA the heaviest character on smash 4 and the projectile sent him not to far, but he launched. Think of what you could do to Mewtwo or Fox or Jigglypuff at high percent's. Or I could be wrong and Bowser could already be at a high percent, BUT I'm not seeing any flashes of red or smoke that warns of rage on high percent's so I am pretty sure he is at a low percent. You got everything though. Travels fast, slow start up. But this projectile does not go far AT ALL! Look at the trailer and see how long that thing lasts. It lasts for about a second and it goes away not even crossing half the stage. but it is a big hit box though. Not even when it is on limit break it travels far. Speaking of which, on 4:08 you can see the rapid slashes of the limit break sword beam sucks the opponent in so it may be un-escapable.Cross slash has 5 hits with or without the limit break. Just thought I would point that out. I'm not sure if you can escape or DI out of it. You may or may not be able to change the angle, but you may be angle to use it as a edge guard as well.
I gotta admit. At the moment I think he looks like a bit more interesting Ike to play. I'm really looking forward to him. And I guess I am also one of those annoying guys who're saying to main him right away. :'D At least I did so with Mewtu and Roy! So maybe I'll get somewhere with him, too...
What about the assist trophy front eh Japanese game who turns into a frog and how they put him next to cloud, possibly joking about the thing in ff7 when you turn into a frog
Cloud can learn omnislash at the gold saucer's battle arena. If you go the whole game without learning omnislash, they let you use it for free in that sephiroth battle at the end, but it doesn't have to be the only time you use it in the game
I have never played any Final Fantasy game for more than 2 hours and I didn't intend to anytime in the future. And I'm a bit sick of Final Fantasy VII being so hyped even though other titles seem better. Yet I'm totally fine with Cloud in Smash. It's simply unbelievable. Sakurai, you genius! And now I have the urge to play Final Fantasy VII... Fingers crossed the remake will be ported to Nintendo NX.
coming to the nx? I doubt it Why because the nx is questionably weaker than ps4/xbox one and it hasn't even been revealed. The nx seems like a hybrid gimmick so far. plus, they don't even have enough third party support to get a AAA title like ff7 on nx. if we do so it, it'll be long down the road on nx after the initial ps4 release. just saying
Swagsuke Uchiha Wow, way to be a downer. We can't say anything on the NX' power for sure as of now. It's all rumours and speculations of whom there's been for both sides (NX being stronger, NX being weaker). I'd say what's more important is, if the architecture of PS4 and NX allow the developers to have similar builds for the game instead of having to reprogramme everything. Regarding AAA 3rd party support: Square Enix seems to be more favorable with Nintendo if all these Square games on Nintendo 3DS are anything to account for. Maybe they want to expand that to the new home console. Square has also given us a very good port of Deus Ex Human Revolution for the Wii U, so I'd say it is possible. Also remember that the Wii U got a lot of 3rd party support at launch, even though most of it were just ports. I'm not getting my hopes up (if that's what you're concerned about...), I'm just saying that Cloud's reveal MIGHT, just might, lead to something bigger and that I'd be okay with that. We'll see.

+Swagsuke Uchiha Actually, Square Enix is the *only* company that has confirmed development for a game on the NX so far, even including Nintendo. Dragon Quest XI is coming the PS4 and the NX. So we already know that they are willing to develop major titles for it. Unless exclusivity to the PS4 is part of the deal for FF7 Remake (which hasn't been confirmed; in fact, an XBone port has been hinted at), I wouldn't be surprised if FF7 remake coming the the NX was part of the deal for putting Cloud in Sm4sh.

Can't say I'm excited, moveset doesn't look that interesting and as a character he really has no place in smash. I'm not happy with all the repurposed moves from other characters as well, seems lazy, especially after Ryu's perfect implementation. He has his fans though, and I'm glad others are happy with his inclusion.

+drew avery but that isn't what Smash is about. This isn't MUGEN, there is a barrier of entry. Smash is a Nintendo crossover, Cloud has no significants with Nintendo whatsoever. If anything, he marks the loss of the Final Fantasy series on Nintendo and the dominance the PS1 had over the N64. FFVII isn't even on a Nintendo console, while plenty of other FF games are. Why use Cloud, a Playstation figure-head? Going overboard with third parties cheapens the effect and kind of goes against the point of having them in the first place, in my eyes.

It's not liking I'm saying he should be removed or that Nintendo is evil for approving the idea, I just don't like it personally. I even said I was glad for his fans, I'm just giving my personal opinion. Keep in mind, Nintendo are not doing this out of the kindness of their heart. We're paying for it, they're making money. Saying I'm spoiled; that's ridiculous. If it was free you'd have a point, but it's not. It's the difference between someone giving you a gift and someone trying to sell you a product. You are allowed to be critical or opinionated over something that's intent is to be sold to you. Sorry that not everyone likes the same things you do. I'm glad Cloud is in the game, he's a big crowd pleaser to many people, and that's a good thing I guess. Would I have preferred something different? Yes. Smash brings gamers of all kinds together. I know there were SF fans who joined the game after Ryu's announcement I'm sure there will be FF fans joining as well. Stop complaining about free or $2 dollar DLC. It's cheap as fuck man.
