So far blue portal takes you to other place in time and space but when you return to your own world you dont remember what happened in the other side. Black and white portal teleport you to another place in the same world

Most of these events like this, the Halloween one, the ffix one, and beach one are non canon, just have to remember that As for the whole deal with supposed multiverse thing in rebirth that is not what you think it is about, rebirth is following OG vii compilation canon Meaning no deviations, no alternate realities or timelines no changes, none of that especially when devs have said so multiple times that is not happening

I have a guess as to whats happening here, but major Rebirth spoilers (and possibly the next game if I'm right) I think this is the completed system that Chadley reveals he's slowly constructing after you defeat Gilgamesh for real. The system is pulling "data" of these four from different points in his data's time (that or the virtual space has interdimensional capability. Hey he was also "researching" the rift after Gilgamesh disappears.) for this test, which I think is to literally construct the Knights of the Round summon out of everyone's collective combat data for the player to get in the third game eventually.
