Sort of yes: same base algorithm (except for the modal synthesis mode in Rings), different implementation and parameters. Btw it's chronologically the converse: Resonestor was born 8 months before Rings ;)
that's incredible! I absolutely love your Oliverb mode too. I was about to buy an Erbe Verb but this mode really does cover most of why I wanted to get that thing in the first place already. I'll make sure to donate to you! :D
Could you (or someone else) tell me the difference of ”To switch mode, press both black buttons simultaneously." and ”pressing the B button for 5 seconds”? I think it's the same, but I'm trying to figure the working and differences before buying a diy with parasites already flashed.
Thinking about getting a Clouds just for this mode! Looks great, but tell me, can you limit the comb filters to a single repeat so the repeats can be processed by external effects? Probably would reduce quality with the ADC on each repeat but it shouldn't really matter being such high quality DSP right? Can you do that by setting it to 100% Wet and Feedback to 0%, or will that just instantly silence it?
Chartre Khan Yes, you can try that with 100% wet and 0% feedback, but it will not give the expected result: K-S needs extremely short delays, and ADC+DAC+internal processing gives latency, much too much for K-S. You *can* do external feedback loops with the regular delay (I made a video about that) because in this case the latency is negligible.
