Is that the weir at Carmyle? Could walk over that in the summer. That bridge @2:24 was the scene of many a fight between us in Carmyle and those in Westburn.
@@PAADVENTURES1 Summers in Carmyle were brilliant. We'd walk up the Clyde to near Daldowie then jump in on our massive inflated inner tubes from tractor tyres that we "acquired" from a tyre place on London Road. And float down the Clyde over the weir at Carmyle down to Bogleshole Bridge area. This was '88'ish
You don’t often see that with kids anymore. I had a similar childhood in viewpark, long walks, rivers, nesting, bikes, swimming 👍👍👍👍wish I was 10 again in the 70s!
@@PAADVENTURES1 We'd go out in the morning and disappear all day and our parents never minded at all. Changed days. We'd ride our bikes for miles. Up to Tollcross or Cambuslang. Happier times. That old railway bridge at Carmyle, we had a rope swing that swung you out right over the river. haha
Hi Andy This was from the lockdown and we had to stay local. I have done all the stages but never bothered uploading the videos...didn't really like the content to be honest! 😁 thoughts? Paul
