This is a really cool track to do this kinda of blues over. Its chilled, open and allows space for you to think about what you are playing. Remember to listen to yourself as well as the music you are playing to, it will help in a big way. You cant be great if you only listen to yourself! FACT!!

Legendary! Thanks for doing this. When you first looked up at the camera at 1:14 and the screen read “it’s my 8 beats now” (I’m paraphrasing) I just about fell off the chair. l grabbed my Epi, and started jamming along. Lotta fun. You’re better than me lol, but I can hang. Subscribed.

Be careful falling off those chairs. Broken fingers not so good for guitar players. Excellent, and pleased you like it so much. If you upload a video of yourself playing along with it I can add to the ‘You Zone’ page of my website 👍🏼

danny i played along to this q and a on my air-guitar with consummate ease.😂 when the mind has the same form as reality we think truth. ... from the hat i'm reminded that winter's coming on or else that someone forgot to pay the bill. ... lovely bluesy sounds coming from that redsy 335 like bursts of sunlight through a musical window!!👍🎸😊🎶

Danny - THIS is a one of the best videos ever in this style. I really love to play along with you, because I learn so much listening not only to the things I play! I use this video several times in a month - to develop and have fun! Still looking for a way to make a video to show this.... Thanks again! And maybe more to come in this style - and BTW this backing track is amazing! Because I don´t want to look through the 295 Lick Friday-videos: Have you already done the lick at 04:18? Its GREAT! Just recently found your channel here. Excellent lessons, licks, backtracks and jamming. Keep up the great work. One thing I think would hellp a lot would be to let us know the chords being played on the track. Hitting the right note of a particular chord does have a great impact on any solo as you know very well. I mean nothing fancy, just quickly show us what the chords are. I have been jamming along your tracks and I try to figure out the chords (which is a fantastic exercise too). Anyway, just a thought... Great playing, lots of feeling!!!! Makes me want to pick up the guitar right away and steal some licks!! Cheers

I wish that you Will do a short video where you explain how to approach a solo over I chord over a major backing track, by few notes. Few notes just for example Beacause i can't understand how to use the major scale to build a solo.
@DannyPage
@DannyPage 5 лет назад
Hey. Cant remember if this is something you have asked before, but, this is a video I will be doing for RU-vid viewing just not sure when. Ive just finished a video for my Patron subscribers which does briefly cover this, although using the Natural Minor (basically the same scale but different starting notes, sounds crazy I know!) The vid covers a small step in a huge pond, but this can become manageable very quickly if you take the right steps. As a suggestion, I would play about with just the major scale for a while, over a jam track, to get used to the sound and hopefully you will see a connection between the pent and Major (visually speaking as in the shapes connecting). Try using a track in Am and play a C Major scale over it (Would technically be called A Natural Minor, but that's for another video completely) If interested in the patreon stuff the links will be in the video. If not, thats no problem at all. Thank you for watching my stuff and asking the questions. Cheers Danny

Danny...what are you using to record your videos? I just use my phone and the sound is always terrible.
@DannyPage

Hi Bob. Its a mix of camera mic (Rode Video Mic Pro) and a DI from the amp into logic. Then I mix to get a realistic room sound as I hear it in the room.

Hey! I think I was using the Blackstar in this video as I can’t see any lights on the Marshall. So I guess it the combination of guitar and amp and I ditch between pickups whilst using the guitar volume to adjust the amount of gain from the amp.
