Say what you will but the dude is an old school pro wrestler. Forget what happened backstage, went out and had the best match of the night. Showed them all how it’s done
@@Frogsplash27 apparently as a joke people say he was paying tribute to Roman after the match only cause he put his index finger in the air after he was leaving the ring
@@antmaster360the Bucks camp cries to dirtsheets, mostly uncle Dave Meltzer, instigates fights, drags Punk through the mud and he's the one "crying"??
@@ScottW4312yes he did... Somehow he came out looking good after all the elite, dave meltzer one sided narratives.. Apparently jack perry calling out glass spot live was a good thing for punk... It proved punk right that these aew roster doesn't respect veterans insight... 😂 If aew falls, Jack perry won't get a locker room because if this was Njpw, WWE or any other responsible promotion.. Locker room would've buried jack perry for not respecting them..
He did. AEW will continue to die a slow death, and Punk will return to WWE, to an equally massive return pop and make millions of dollars despite all the AEW Neckneards saying otherwise@@antmaster360
As of now, after All In London 2023, CM Punk already appeared on 2 WWE PLEs while AEW already had 4 PPVs after this but Jack Perry is still suspended 😂😂😂😂
Bitched out his co worker, made it crystal clear that his boss was useless, had best match of the night, got fired and went to a bigger and better company to make even more money. That’s a Legend by every standard there is
I know whenever I think i'm going to get into a confrontation my heart rate goes through the roof with adrenaline. Imagine getting physical with a punk like Perry and THEN immediately going out to perform to a large crowd like that. Damn lol.
Don't think TK would have that Collision show and that billion dollar deal without Punk. The network wanted Punk on that show and he was a big reason for it happening, they have to be pissed about the firing..... hate him or love him Punk was AEWs biggest draw. It's a shame it didn't work out.
Now knowing what we know, just look at his face the whole time walking to the ring…he looked checked out of AEW. Then look at him at survivor series…he’s finally HOME!
It's incredible how professional and such great actors most Pro wrestlers are. You couldn't tell at all from punk's face that they he just had had a backstage fight or something. The same with Joe, you couldn't tell at all
Gotta give it to the guy. He wasn’t in the main event, but he was the biggest star on a show that drew 70k people. That’s impressive. He’s proven to be super viable business-wise, so even if he’s a pain in the ass, you can talk yourself into it being a good idea to bring him in. AEW has a weird management infrastructure, so that also has to be factored in when you consider the punk/AEW split. Pain in the ass? Probably. But worth it if you’re WWE? I mean he’s gotta be right?
I think he's only a pain in the ass because, unlike many modern wrestlers, he takes this business seriously. It's not a game, teenage wish fulfilment, or a gig to get his low-tier friends a pay-check. He's old school, harking back to the days of true kayfabe, when you could care and it wasn't all winks and nods or over the top corny matches you just don't buy.
Cm punk is literally the only professional here. He never talks about the backstage stuff, yet everyone in AEW talks about it for months. They talk about it like they have nothing else interesting in AEW. While CM punk is quietly moving on.
i replayed 0:31 at 0.25x a couple of times and i think you’re right. he did say “this is my send off” just it’s a bit hard to tell, because of the way he mouthed it. but i think you’re right.
This is how professional cm punk is. After beating jungle boy. He came out like nothing. Did he's match. Then went back and took some pictures and then he left
the look on joes face says it all at the end, disappointed with everything that transpired before they went out for their match & i think deep down he knows this may be the last time that he would get to wrestle cm punk, a guy he’s known & respects and is respected in the same manner by punk.
this was a good final match for punk. Dude should just hang it up again. JR was as hyped as I was for this "they're both physical, they like to whip ass, let's see it, let's see it guys, whip some ass here in Wembley"
When Punk left AEW, Professional Wrestling left AEW. And he left it after one last controversial moment. One last entrance. And one last classic with his great rival, Samoa Joe.
After everything this was a hell of a way to go out. Beat dudes ass backstage, goes out like no big deal, and puts on a banger against his rival and leaves with his hand raised and a title above his head
