Lansing isn't the biggest city on Canadian National's Flint Subdivison, but it has enough industry to have it's own local train. R933 serves a handful of these industries between Millet and Cory Yards, and occasionally goes east to the JAIL interchange or further west to Potterville. The footage here was taken on March 27th and April 10th. I arranged the clips by location, but you can probably tell which clip was taken on which day based on the trees. The local spends most of it's time switching GM's Delta Township Plant at Cory Yard. Like most of CN's local operations, the usual power for this train is an SD60, which I despise. For the last month, though, it's been swapped with 5286, a rare Canadian Cab SD40-2LW. I decided to dedicate some time to filming it. The faded "Zebra" paint scheme and Holden K3L horn is a glimpse into CN's past. CN has started to recommission these engines, so hopefully I can see some more soon.
