How dangerous are bicycles? I heard that in WW2 the Japanese used bicycles to invade Malaya... I think we should ban bicycles!

IF YOU ARE IN THE PLANE AND A DRONE HIT THE PLANE. GOOD LUCK TO YOU.

@@wangtie9602 im not worried about restrictive airspace around airports, but if private residents are allowed to shoot down the drone and sue you, thats another thing to worry about. it reduces the legal areas you are permitted to fly.

I'm a government licensed, registered, and insured drone operator in Thailand. This entire conversation reminds me of the "Y2K" drama, when all our computers were predicted to fail at the turn of the century, which turned out to be total nonsense. The average consumer drone camera doesn't have sufficient resolution to capture detail at 50 meters, to do that, a very expensive drone is required. Geese pose a far greater threat to aircraft than consumer drones.

Lol.....Y2K was one of the biggest scams from the IT industry. My ex colleague whom we use to work in a company which does shipping, told our ex company not to get fooled by this Y2K thing and the company do not need any kind of expensive software installation. Worst part was most of us had to stay and work from 31st Dec 1999 till 1st Jan 2000 just to monitor. So, our company got fooled and paid insane amount of money just for the crap Y2K software! Hahahaha..... Over here, people are pretty anal about small little things. Didn't you know Singapore is well known as complain society. Anything and everything they can find fault, they will complain about it! Singapore drone laws are ridiculously crazy! Out of 100%, there are only a good 25% area which is flyable without any permits if you don't fly above 60m (one of the lowest in the world) and drone not weighing more than 250gm. There are so many don'ts than dos! It's pretty stressful as a drone operator in Singapore. Basically you need to PAY to use. I do not understand why we need to pay each time we fly above 60m???!!! Paying to be a license operator, I can understand but requesting for permission to fly above 60m and we have to pay for it each time, that I do not understand.

How nice, a drone ad (industrial use, mapping and gas detection) on a drone talking point? Documentary? What do you call these episodes? Ah, on a drone episode~

how much accident happen airplane with drone?NONE....
@lingth
@lingth 5 лет назад
Before 9-11 how many times have hijackers flown planes into buildings on purpose? NONE. usually hijackers in the past hijack planes, tend to land them and make demands or ransom, until Hollywood movies give them an idea of using planes as cheap guided missiles. now Hollywood movies also show drone being used in a swarm mode to attack people, take photos of people in private housing or fly into homes with open windows and take photos of any message you left on the table or your fridge door.

stupid logic..

I remember in one example, they say Apple's Homepod using Siri cannot differentiate the voice of the person saying "ok Siri" or "Hi Siri", to determine if the person is the owner or not. so if you have a guest to your house with a Homepod active, and you go to toilet, the guest says "OK Siri, read to me my messages" the Homepod may obey the command, and start to read back all the messages of the Apple account it is linked to, since it doesnt know if it the owner who gave that command or a stranger. with more people using Smart Home devices, a drone who fly in from a open window when the owner is not at home, can probably do that if it issue the command via a speaker to a "ready to obey Homepod" and than listen to the playback.

12:18 YES! the most secretive way to spy on someone is to use DJIs largest and noisiest drone and fly outisde the person's window just to get his damn word document file. WOW!
@lingth
@lingth 5 лет назад
if the word document file contains sensitive info like the bidding price of the next project or land, his company is going to offer, than that word document file is worth more than all the trouble. and about the noise, i am sure drone enthusiast can easily modify the noisy motors to something more silent. i am sure it can do more than just steal the printed info to a non protected wifi printer, its just an example of what can be done, the real world application can be more than doing that.
@ShawnKoh
@ShawnKoh 5 лет назад
Tse Hong Ling firstly, if there was sensitive information on his laptop, he would have yo be home at the exact time and the “spy” would have to know the exact room and exact unit etc. And what makes u think drone enthusiasts knows how to make a drone silent? Multi million dollar companies that make these drones cant even do that yet and u presume an enthusiast is firstly a covert operative and secondly has the engineering skills that beat the world’s leading drone manufacturers? Cool story bro.
@lingth
@lingth 5 лет назад
some countries have resort to using trained birds like falcons and hawks to attack drones, some use "Net Guns" to fire at low flying drone to capture them, but these tactics dont work against Drone Swarms, if the enemy have a swarm of say 20 or 30 mini drones from different directions, each with a "small package" of explosive. Facilities like Jurong Island for example, can be targetted where just 1 drone with a 100g of explosive can trigger a larger explosion if it hits a Large LNG tank.

A drone is basically a vehicle. So treat it as such, accidents happen on the road everyday but we ain't banning cars left and right.

It's all about monetary.........anything to do with permission, you will need to pay for it. It does not deter anyone from doing silly things. If someone wants to create chaos at NFZ area, that is still possible.

Why do you need a drone to do packet sniffing where I could just stand outside the apartment? Unless you are doing a random sniffing around the premise lol
@lingth
@lingth 5 лет назад
i guess if you know a certain CEO or VP of a rival company who works in a private house in a bungalow, you cant really hang around outside their room to sniff. but if you can tell he is in from the bedroom window, flying a drone near his room window at night to sniff the wifi signal, might be one example.
@simonwood721

Thank you for joining the current media frenze further demonising the RC drone/model hobby. I'd be more concerned about the availability of mobile apps that can successfully sniff WiFi than the drone it is attached to. Registration offers zero safety increase, purely a knee-jerk reaction/publicity stunt. To the reporter, have a chat with youtuber 'Xjet', I think you and you viewers would find his views/proposals both interesting and balanced.
