awesome thanks for all your videos, I'm about to get a 4x8 machine and trying to learn as much as I can before it gets here. Have you tried cutting like this in one pass? I guess with a 1/8 bit that's a bit too much. so this is 2 passes per cut it looks like? and about 500 ipm?
Also, I'm curious, when you cut your first little test piece and test the fit and then adjust the file size, do you scale the whole file a slight amount or do you set this up parametrically in Fusion360? If so I'm curious how the paramentric part would interface with the curves of the rest of the model. (maybe that's a dumb question, I'm new to paramentric design and fusion...). Cheers!
I don't regularly use Fusion360 for basic 2d stuff like my dinosaurs. After I test the fit Ill do back into the cam and either add or subtract the stock to leave or finishing pass amount.
@@TLARinc thanks for the reply. that makes great sense and is a great way to deal with it. I'm loving fusion for cad, but finding it a bit combersome for cam for simple stuff. I guess it's time to learn estlcam or get vcarve. Thanks again for your videos, especially the parametric cabinet series!
