Actually no. This is a bit more sinister. Trumps speeches have for the past 8 years been a major revenue source for ratings for these organizations. The fact they are willing to silence their golden goose means they have enough sponsors/donors to forego their entire business model. This is going to be an interesting year!

@@robbiedemoss3224 I do remember that was one of the things Chris Licht (He came from Late night with Steve Colbert) said after stepping up to become one of the top bosses at CNN. Which was literally the only thing propping up their network's ratings. He was even questioned about the ratings, and he said he didn't care. Think that was November of 2023. Chris also said he would be in charge of determining what is important to know, and what wasn't. We shall see how that works out. MSNBC did a total news blackout. The funny part is he only admitted to fact checking Trump. I guess democrats all get a pass still.
