Sanjay was very two-faced. He appeared on CNN right after this interview on the show of the woman who defamed Joe about the horse dewormer. They played selective clips that made Rogan out to be a thoughtless joker. Gupta said to Joe that he enjoyed the conversation and likes how Rogan thinks, but gave a very different impression when he went live on CNN. Very self-serving appearance it seems, to sell a few books. The entire conversation with Joe was great though, especially when Joe confronts Sanjay about his employer (CNN) being total liars.
@Marcus Owen. right? I saw exactly the same thing as you, and it just proved to me even more so how much we cannot trust anyone affiliated with the MSM. Initially, I gave Gupta the benefit of the doubt, but then seeing and hearing his followup on CNN regarding the interview on Joe's show just really pissed me off, to be frank. I have no respect for Gupta on any level, and I was really hoping that he wasn't another manipulative liar in a position of authority. It's so pathetic and frustrating. Anyway, Marcus, great comment and I hope you are doing well.

Shouldve been an indicator of how quickly he'd reverse his stance on everything he agreed with Joe on during this podcast as soon as he went back to his corporate masters at CNN
Devils advocate here, but I'd like to state that I'm glad this man came into the podcast. A part of me believes that Samjay Gupta is an honest man willing to arrive to the truth. And coming onto this podcast, obviously knowing what might he discussed, was very patriotic of him. I just have to give him that.
I love how Joe complimented him and really talked up the fact that he reversed his stance on marijuana and didn’t double down, then confronted him about him and his network lying about horse dewormer. Thus making it harder for him to deny and double down on the lie. I don’t Know if this was planned but pretty smart.
Joe is more clever and intelligent than the MSM portray him to be. They prefer to try and spin him as a meat head idiot. It works for their braindead base.
The way Gupta talks about his anxiety over releasing his studies is wild and emblematic of the politicization of medicine. Here you have a doctor, ostensibly doing good research into the medical benefits of a substance, and he still felt that there was a chance he could lose his job by revealing his findings. This goes way beyond marijuana, politics is controlling the way we are allowed to think about medicine.
Links? I remember Gupta uttering the words "My good friend Deepak Chopra". Chopra is a snake oil salesman and someone who graduated medical school should be able to figure that out faster than I can.

Good for you. I have a sister that smoked cannabis for 25 years daily, then she got a psychosis, was diagnosed with schizophrenia, and now takes medication and goes in and out of mental hospitals, trying to get some sort of daily life. I would definitely not use it on a daily basis.
@@jonoda894 Do you consider the fact that the psychosis may NOT be related to the 25 years of usage? Or, was there ironclad, irrefutable evidence connecting the two?

The sad thing is that, after this compliment, Sanjay went live on CNN and basically spun the whole interview as mental gymnastics. Proving that Joe had too much faith in his character.
@Gordon Freeman Why? When he's doing so well on calling them out and revealing their true character. I didn't know shit about Gupta before this interview and I can now say without a doubt that I believe he's a snake and a coward.
@Gordon Freeman And I wish there were less people who make comments without watching the video and carry an ego that tells them they're right because their feelings say so.
When I was going through depression I legit hadn't smiled in years, near the end of it I had stopped eating. I went from 160lbs at 5'10" to 140 over the course of about 2 months. Not only did I smile and then actually laugh while on medical Marijuana, I had an appetite again and ate. I know it's a single case, I know it's anecdotal, but it worked for me.
it really doesn't work all that well for anyone with clinical depression, ask me how I know lol. Chemical imbalances aren't fun and cannabis really fucks that up even more so while further reiforicrong those neural pathways and mental schemas, creating a mylineated one way street of addiction.
@Thomas Lehecka it is a bandaid. Never said it wasn't, but it's given me the boost to start doing things again. I go jogging like I used to because I like to be in nature while high. If I smoke while I got a good buzz from alcohol it’s not as bad.
I suffer from schizophrenia, and without marijuana the audible noises are debilitating. I've been a lab rat for years before finding a med that worked in me, sadly with sever side affects. With marijuana the noises or screaming is at a manageable level, to where I can control or concentrate properly. It's been a long journey to get to this point. 51yrs now and after spending half my life searching for something normal (no sever side effects), I thank our earth for this gift. Love your shit Joe.
I don’t care that marijuana has a medical benefit for certain conditions, although that is quite important. It’s many multiples safer than alcohol and tobacco, which kill about a million people annually and cause many more accidents, chronic health conditions, and cost trillions of dollars. It should be legal for recreational use, and I am saying this as someone who does not use it.
Agreed. Don't smoke it, not interested, realize a lot of potheads downplay the costs of regular use. But it's fucking insane that adults are getting criminal records over it.

The fact that scientists, Researchers, and doctors are afraid to tell the truth or report the truth bc they don't know how it will be received and may lose their jobs is nuts. We should prolly change that going forward
Doctors, Lawyers, Politicians, Teachers: they tell you what's right and wrong, true or false, and they all get a license to do it that can be revoked if they say anything against the grain
I love how these “experts” are just now in 2021 admitting that weed has medicinal benefits. You can read 400 scientific papers but that doesn’t mean you have any common sense.
Gupta is gonna day whatever Democrats and CNN tell him to say. That's why he changed his stance on marijuana. If Democrats wanted to promote heroin tomorrow he would say it's not harmful
The Germ Theory was never actually proven to be 100% accurate, yet the trillion dollar medical industry is entirely based on that theory. What's the CAUSE of death in people with this "virus"? Does their brain explode? Does their heart stop beating? The CAUSE of death is still pneumonia. Pneumonia is not something you can "catch". You DEVELOP it, just like you develop cancer. It's a biological result of being "scared to death" of something. Think of it like an internal wound that you can't see, but when it starts to heal (when the traumatic event dissipates), the healing of the wounds in the lungs will cause pain, mucus, blood, fever, headaches, coughing, etc. The cause of death from Small Pox wasn't acne-like cysts. That's not enough to kill anyone. The cause of death was PNEUMONIA. A specific death fright soldiers and Indians felt due to them attacking each other during this traumatic period in time. These were the only people who had Small Pox. A vaccine only stopped the acne cysts from forming, which is basically a histamine response. Pneumonia still develops and cannot be stopped or vaccinated against. It's like trying to vaccinate your body to prevent it from healing a bruise or a cut. You don't show the symptoms of "disease" until you stop being panicked and afraid. These symptoms usually show up 1-2 weeks after you've relaxed and resolved the upsetting event. Governments around the world are CAUSING fear frights, thus CAUSING all the illnesses, aka Boogey Virus, in everyone based on an unproven THEORY by one man, Louis Pasteur, who redacted his claim of the germ theory on his death bed, yet no one listened. The US is following an outdated theory that's 100 years old and has not questioned or retested that "science" since then. They believed In witches and curses back then!! Could it be because a Ca-Zillion dollar medical industry profits on following an outdated "science" model?! They've been using the same cancer "treatment" for 80 YEARS. They can't think of something besides POISON in all this time?!?! So of course, when everyone is allowed to escape the hostage situation the governments have put their people into, and they start relaxing about the "scary virus" that's not in any way transmissible, they will begin their healing phase (get sick), and believe they then have the "scary virus", and more panic will ensue as well as martial law. The longer people allow this government to hold them hostage in their homes, the more severe the "sickness" will be. Western Medicine is pure fraud, and people's lives are destroyed because of it.
As I see it, he was more, JR got him cornered in true MMA style, so he started spilling the beans in order to save his skin as his mind told him he was in mortal danger. Fight or flight wasn't an option and neither was freezing live on air, so he opened up as any good fear induced citizen would. That he later retracted his claims isn't that much of a surprise seen the corporate talking head he is, but it did open up a lot of sleepy eyes that didn't noticed before how CNN and other MSM has been playing their mind magick on their viewers. This was a very niceand clean uppercut straight into these liars faces (as a matter of speech of course, according to YT guidelines - at least I hope).
I watched the entire 3 hour podcast and I have to admit, I liked how Rogan cornered Dr. Sanjay in several occasions, respectfully, and Dr. Sanjay tried his best to answer in a way to not piss CNN. The difference between Joe and Sanjay is that, Joe can say anything he wants and not worry about losing a living whereas with Dr. Sanjay you know there's something that's holding him back, and even tried in multiple times to steer away from basic logical questions that Joe threw at him. Rogan even jokingly called him "Vaccine Salesman" and they were both laughing.
The difference is Joe can say whatever he wants largely without consequence while CNN and Gupta are held to a much higher standard. So for example JR spreads falsehoods regularly such as here > "‘Joe Rogan Is Getting This Completely Wrong,’ Says The Scientist Who Conducted The Vaccine Study" Forbes, Aug 8th 2021< without consequence - all his fans eat it up. Yet 1 CNN pundit does the same and it's 'MSM is corrupt'? (Mind you, it was that one female pundit, CNN online reports correctly labelled ivermectin not as de-wormer, as an anti-viral) This is what you call 'double standards'. We should hold JR's lies/falsehoods to the same standard as CNNs
@@AZ2PM did you actually say that CNN is held to a much higher standard? what standard? its not even a secret. They pick and choose stories to support their narrative, they spread half truth, omit critical information, ask soft questions to their partisans etc.. I dont even need to mention all the gaffes they have made, or even Trump era. Their call to censorship, deplatform, the unvaccinated to die, their numerous lies on many events, they add adjectives to every news event. Heck, they were caught plenty of times saying that they're bullshiting (undercover mic/camera). Now, what is the difference btw them and Joe? expectation. CNN viewers (the ones that remains) hold them to their usual of partisan media narrative. So its not so much a high standard. However, Joe is held to a much higher standard: Tough questions, getting the right answers out, being both entertaining and informative for 3 HOURS and keeping his audience captivated. He has MUCH higher ratings than CNN, so he is succeeding. Now, im not putting foxnews off the hook. Altho they are being mostly legit now, before the left lost its mind, they were pretty trash and making shit up too. The future is obviously independent media, but CNN of old are long long gone with no proper standard per se.w
He had plenty of chances before even Republicans started relaxing their stances. The info he got that changed his mind has been around for decades. Integrity has nothing to do with him changing his position.
since when is asking basic questions a "Smackdown"? Winning debates has become such a self-serving motive for both sides of the political spectrum to the point where no one is actually interested in finding out what the truth is. people love advertising the fact that they are researching "alternative sources" or are somehow cognizant of some alternative fact that the rest of normative society is oblivious to. people should be tuning in to such podcasts and news sources for only one reason: to be informed. Coming in with the mindset if expecting someone to be "demolished" is wrong because it focuses on the performative aspect of the conversation rather than the actual substance behind it.
I forgot to mention how Joe keeps confronting the Dr on how we should push exercise instead of the shot an every time this "Dr" knocks down exercise? Wtf lol! Look ,I'm in a RU-vid wormhole ,I'm going through a quarantine next to my lady who has covid yet I keep testing negative , she's vaccinated and I'm not. We're both 40 , she's beautifully thick an I'm athletic , how are we not supposed to speculate how they're pushing the shot on people who are already healthy? Since the beginning I've been taking all the vitamins recommended by each Dr I see on this podcast. I'm healthy. I don't think I'll be taking any advice from what this Dr has to say on this episode.
Marijuana really helps my stomach out because I have gastrointestinal issues. It settles down nicely with weed. One of the benefits that is really underrated.
We cannot claim to be a serious society when we celebrate alcohol, one of the most destructive drugs the world has seen, all the while debating whether a fucking plant like cannabis, mushrooms, and other amazing psychedelics should be allowed. Also, I cannot stress this enough. If you were a law enforcement officer of any kind, and you arrested people for weed, or sentenced people for weed, you should be forbidden from opening up a dispensary now.
I agree with your first point 100%. It's mind-boggling that we can waltz into a liquor store and buy vodka by the gallon, and kill ourselves and others in the process of consuming it, and then celebrate alcohol socially but we'll arrest (ARREST!) someone for a joint. As to your second point, that's kind of harsh. I was a cop for a long time but my views on cannabis have turned 180-degrees. I'm not going to open a dispensary but to say someone should be forbidden from doing whatever because of a past profession/opinion doesn't leave much room for redemption.
Indeed the first step is to set the line between drugs and plants... like our perspective on drugs is all the way fcked up i see people alot comparing xtc with weed for example like wtf... as long as drugs are drugs nothing more nothing less nothing will happen

As Hamilton Morris always says, while the medicinal benefits of psychoactive plants are intriguing, we must not get distracted by drugs needing to be medicinal to be legal. It should be everybody's freedom to explore their own consciousness by whatever means they wish.
This is an excellent point as well. After all, there aren't many 'medicinal' benefits of alcohol, but I am NOT arguing that it should be marked as 'the drink of demons' or something. 😂🤣 LOL That said... lots of deaths and collateral damage from drunk driving. And... I... don't think there are ANY from CBD/THC. Someone feel free to correct me with references if the death count is >0 from 'Cannabis-drunkards' or something.
Yea I don’t know how much longer until people don’t have to feel like they’re supposed to partake in social drinking. ....like it’s somehow unusual to not drink a glass of wine at dinner or a few beers every weekend. It’s perfectly ok to not drink and to also have nothing to do with it, including never buying a bottle. You’d be surprised how contempt cannabis makes you and how you have no desire for alcohol.

Gotta love the 'practicing' doctor recommends a vax to a worker in his home. Said yes, before learning about the persons circumstances & family circumstances, before learning anything at all.

The cannabis plant is arguably the most amazing plant to our species. I’ve been suggesting CBD to all my pain patients and the results have been rather profound. We need to reschedule the cannabis plant in all its forms so that we can properly research it further. The data that is out there now is massive. It’s the reason why I’ve done 18 videos on it!
It needs to be decriminalized across the board. The simple fact that big pharma can't patent it is why we have all these lunatic laws. They can't make money off of healthy people or a super plant like marijuana. Decriminalization is the Only way to move forward to benifit American citizens and others around the world.
