@@jumpguyty You just have to react to Messi now. Whatever videos of his that have tens of milliins of views. Messi and Ronaldo are two of the greatest athletes of all time. Messi's spacial awareness and accelleration will astonish you. It looks like the ball is tied to his feet.
The really ridiculous thing about Cristiano is that you sometimes get the feeling that he could be as good as he is in other sports like sprinting or volleyball or basketball, the way he trains and all the different skills he shows on the pitch is insane
@@jumpguyty I think every football fan will agree that Ronaldo has the best work ethic of all football players. He always is training hours before the official training begins and stop hours after the official training ends. One of his teammates told in an interview that he went training after a match while it was midnight. No one would even think about that. Ronaldo lives for the sport, he gives everything for it. That makes him the best footballer ever for me.
One of his teammates ( I think Rio Ferdinand?) said he lost at ping pong with him. The next day Cristiano bought a ping pong table for his house, trained as a maniac and then played with him again to win! He hates loosing at anything!
I love the first clip with the bycicle kick... Zidane and Isco scratching their heads in awe and the opponent fans clapping for him... such an elite moment in football
You must react young ronaldo when he still play for manchester united. Bro he's really not human. His play is another level, and now he's 35, YESSS 35 and still play like that is crazy!!!
Sky Sports did a whole documentary going into his body, skill and mindset. You should watch it, great sport science. They legit made him into a lab rat for a day🤣🤣🤣
Messi and Ronaldo are known to be two of the best players of all time. You should react to Ronaldinho! He's my favorite. He's retired now, but his play were literally magic! He made boring games fun to watch.
Yeah check him out. Every Cr and Messi fan will tell you Ronaldinho is the most fun to watch. He was the most skillful and creative player ever (I'm saying this as a Cristiano fan btw).
2 things 1- Yes, he is well known for his ridiculously powerful kicks. The man is a free kick machine. 2- The most impressive thing for me about him is his work ethic. There isn't a single football player more dedicated than him. There's multiple account of his teammates telling he is the first to get to practice and the last to leave. Many times he was on the pitch over an hour before practice time, and at the end he would stay longer and train his kicks. Mad respect for that
React to Messi next he and Cristiano are the best in the world a top tier talent and hard-working players their passion for the game never stops and it's the best rivalry ever existed in the history of football Both of them are GOATS but i love and prefer Ronaldo over Messi
messi didn’t do shit this season his age is getter the better of him while Cristiano is still preforming alright lmfao the only thing he did is punch someone and score a few penalty’s 💀
@@sietskespierings65 if you dont watch the games please dont talk, messi carries the whole midfield. got now another position at barcelona and makes nearly every chance possible for the forwards watch the highlights of today’s game before you comment such stuff
The thing i respect most about Ronaldo is his persistence and dedication to this sport. He trains like a machine and he loves the sport with all his being, he is like a coach in every team he goes, he talks to the players all the time. Even if he is never titled the GOAT, he is one of the hardest working athletes to ever step foot on a grass field!
3:38...the flip flap then through the legs....difficulty rating...out of 10....9/9.5......that's tough. What he does: He moves the ball to the right with the outside of his right foot, then whilst the ball is moving still he moves his foot around the ball so it hits the inside of his right foot and goes through the defenders legs. Ronaldinho and Luis Ronaldo (R9 Brazillian striker , retired a few years ago) both were great at this move. The ball movement phase is called a flip flap (the 2 touches on the inside and outside of the right foot) through the legs is a Nutmeg. So technically its a "Flip flap to Nutmeg" if it was given names or whatever I can actually do that move...but nowhere near as clean as that, and I don't do it well enough to feel sure it will work every time, when I pull it out its more of a wild card gamble, might work might not The way he does it though, so smooth all along the floor, wonderfully timed leg movement and weight of touch, He is a Master, he knows its working, he has the sequence dialled in!!! (*I also use another variant where you almost tread down on the ball, creating enough spin it starts to roll up your foot, and it pops up then you move the ball quickly whilst still in contact, The ball goes to the side or over the defender, I find that variant a lot easier for me personally, in terms of executing the sequence/skills, so I use it far more than the classic one, I wish I could do the classic one better, as I feel its more universal for situations, If I could master this one, I could use it a lot more than the one I use),
Also called the "Elastico", the name I mostly recognize the move as. It is really difficult pulling off the move in itself; extremely difficult to pull it off in the intensity of a game, especially against professionals I'd imagine
If you watch the documentary about him being tested to his limits (called Cristiano Ronaldo tested to the limit) you will understand a lot about his phsysical ability as well as some speed, vertical jumping and shot power stats and precise numbers
Football has a long history. Almost 170 years yet Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, two player who are at the end of their careers today still play are considered the best of the century, for many they already are the best players ever.
It's been a pleasure seeing someone just so enamoured with football in little bits. Look into the Brazilian who's also called Ronaldo, in the late 90s/early 00s he was the greatest in the world, injuries got the better of him but he was incredible even after a lot of injuries, just too many though at the end of the day.
There is another header where CR7 jumped really high when he was at Real Madrid. I find that one even more unbelievable then the one at Juventus. His knees are at the level of the defender´s head, it´s crazy.
YES! I watch your Haikyuu stuff because I like anime and I’m a coach, so it’s cool seeing coaching perspectives on other areas. I coach soccer! Definitely going to try to use your jumping tips as best I can.
This is a great video. I like the way this guy has respect on the sport and even calls it football instead of soccer and actually has a decent understanding of the game and how demanding it is 👍🏻
The UK is the only English speaking nations that does. And british termed it soccer for short so blame them... No one ever gets on the Canadians, japanese, south Americans, Australians, ... Ireland.... So who is really the whiney ones about it.
I love football but the term soccer is English and was only picked up by Americans in the 60s and 70s. The term soccer comes from association football the full name for it. Soccer is from the soc in association. Used to be rugby football and association football, then it just got cut to football and rugby.
Cristiano Ronaldo's legendary bicycle kick was inspire by Mexican football legend Hugo Sánchez. That match is from season 2016/2017 in UEFA Champions League Final at Cardiff & the moment when Dani Carvajal makes the legendary cross to assist Cristiano Ronaldo & both of his foot was in mid-air to make that legendary bicycle kick. Both Real Madrid & Juventus fans applauded for CR7. That's mark the first time ever that a opposition fans cheer for rival.
@@coldwater5814 lol zlatan played in the netherlands (the league is total crap) the major leagues he played in was Italy Spain England and France tho he only won in Italy Spain and France (winning the french league by playing at PSG doesnt deserve credit at all) Ronaldo Play in Portugal won the championship played in england won the championship played in spain won the championship plays in italy and won the championship 5 UCL wins 3 of them in a row European championship and so on dont compare zlatan to Cristiano cr7 ist way out of his league
I don’t know if someone said this already but when you see the goal at around 3:00 . You see that he chipped the ball into the net, the next part you see him throw his captains armband to the floor. That’s because the goal was not counted because the player that headed the ball, I think he was name was Nani, was offside and because he touched the ball while offside they said that it didn’t count. What makes it worse is if you look at it, he did not need to head the ball at all because it was already going in and it portrays him as selfish because he wanted to get the goal even though Ronaldo had it and basically he just turned a guaranteed goal for Ronaldo to an offside blunder for the Portuguese football team. Btw personally I don’t like to think Nani was selfish but that he was sooooo focused on scoring that he became blinded and couldn’t realize that he didn’t need to do anything.
@@shabnashameel7861 it seems that you don't know anything about Manchester's cr7 ....and also the record of most dribbling in one game in ucl history ...and there is not any discussion in terms of skills ...
messi and ronaldo are both the best players in their style of play. messi makes the most out of a situation while he moves as less as possible and he has a magical left foot. ronaldo is fast, skillful and has insane shot accuracy and power
I'm the same as you I never played football or really had interest in it as a kid because I played the other football and baseball, but I was always a little aware of it because of my neighbor, and in 2016 I saw the FIFA Club World Cup was on TV and decided to watch it and Cris and Madrid made me fall in love with the game actually sitting down and watching it and I have been a diehard Madridista since!
HES THE GOAT 🐐 the kick behind his leg is called a rabona. The one in between the guys legs is an elastico and yes its hard enough to fo as is much much harder to do against someone
I just love Americans reacting to football. European myself, playing football for 8 years since 7 years old, but man.. I love their reactions. Lile their primitive to this..
I've been playing for 30 years of my life. We have lots of players here good ones too. Bit back when I played club was 3k a season and college was your only choice and MLS was tiny . So it wasn't worth pursuing as a career... Most switch sports in college. Now it's different so you'll see a lot more players coming out of the US. We follow multiple sports here too. It's like going to rugby, cricket and football matches every season and following all of them closely.
The one between the legs that you wanted to know how hard is called a flip flap. It takes a while to master it to the level where no mistakes are made. And to do it at the edge of the line through a players legs is an elite move and yes, it is very very hard.
If you want powerful kicks, Roberto Carlos is the man you're looking for. He could kick the ball with such force, the cameras of his time could barely keep up with it's speed
Ronaldo is a true freak of nature. I remember he raced a sports car over a short distance to test his acceleration and won lol. I’m sure Ronaldo could’ve ran track or even competed in long or high jump if he wasn’t a footballer. He runs like a footballer (short strides without lifting his knees too high) but just imagine how fast he could be if was trained as a sprinter.
Awesome video bro. You should do another one on Ronaldo but find a video that is more just about his athleticism rather than different football techniques. There are a bunch of good videos showing just his jumping and sprinting. Would be great to hear you speak to that stuff which is obviously very much in your neck of the woods. Thanks again for the awesome video!
Great video! Ronaldo is known for the powerful knuckleball free kicks. RU-vid Ronaldo header vs Roma ... the jump for that goal, the way he comes outta nowhere to make the header... top goal from a young cr7
Many Americans don't realize this when watching that bicycle kick goal for the first time, but those fans you see applauding, they are rival fans. You can see they are pissed/sad as their team just suffered a season ending goal in the semi finals of the Champions League (yeah, it was like a conference finals, not just any small match) but they out there like "shit, what can you do, that was beautiful"
I dont understand why football isnt that popular in the USA in nearly every other country it is the most popular one and there is a reason for that, people just need to give it a try
Great reactions. If you are interested in Ronaldo's physical and mental abilities as an athlete look up "Ronaldo Tested to the Limit" film released in 2011 (it's a bit long and a tad bit old but still great insight). They test him on a couple of his abilities, including jumping and kicking strength.
2008 Ronaldo was very very special. Even Messi praised him and said hes the only player he would pay to see. Everything after that has been staying a top player, he just won best player of the last 20 years.
In the summer before his record transfer to Real Madrid (or it could be the summer after, not really sure) Cristiano actually cancelled his summer vacations and went to the US to train with the Olympic 100 meters sprinting team. In case this doesn’t seem insane to some, he was already one of the fastest players of all time and he sacrificed a month of his rest (so basically all of it) to go run track and field in a different country. He left as an incredibly gifted athlete and came back as a machine. He never looked back since.
You should see "Cristiano Ronaldo tested to the limit" is a long video but i think that you would like to see the insight it brings to his capabilities. The video is a bit old and he is better from a physical and mental standpoint today then we was back then. Specially in the mental department incredible.
I remember, back in Highschool, there was a guy who was on a competitive Football team, so he was the best player in gym class. But, one time, when we were having a 'match', he was doing fancy footwork with the ball, so i gave up and back up to try and block the ball if he were to kick it, and... he did. I reacted by stepping my leg out and the ball connected with my thigh at full force and i remember FEELING the ball slam into my skin HARD, but that area immediently kinda.... went dead? He dances off to go get the ball, and i begin to follow, still not feeling anything in that area. And then literally, a couple seconds later, it felt like all sensation in my leg came rushing back online and my leg gave out from under me because the PAIN hit all at once, and it honest to god felt like someone had shot my thigh. The area was all swollen and turning purple and already starting to bruise horribly, and i couldn't move my thigh for a good thirty minutes after the game. Weirdest injury i ever got while playing sports, but needless to say, after that day, if that guy kicked a ball in my general direction, i got the hell out of way instead of trying to stop it. XD Football player's legs are something to be feared, mad respect for them.
the move he did at like 3:45 was called a flip flap, personally i think its super difficult because u have to move the ball from the outside of ur foot to the inside in a fraction of a second
exactly how i felt when i stumbled upon seeing Messi's video back in 2017 or 16. i wasnt aware of futbol being this exciting and was hooked eversince. from messi to ronaldo to ronaldinho. just downhill trip ever since. rather watch futbol than football.
When he was in EPL the tested a lot of players ...dashes etc, and I remember CR7 being the fastest in the league at the time (in boots and on grass) I think Lennon was quicker on the track (it was 10 years ago memory and all)
You should definitely watch the sports science documentary on him. There is a segment when he scores goals with the lights switched off as the passer kicks it to him. His football iq is insane. His work ethic combined with great genetics has made him the most lethal finisher in history.
There is a documentary video on RU-vid about Christiano Ronaldo titled Tested to the Limit. You have to watch that documentary. You will be even more shocked then you are now.
4:36 min That dribble is named Flip flop or Elastico. It took me 1 year of constant practise to learn it, and another 5 years to really get it down. Very difficult. Most players never use it in a match since it is very risky. Either it works or you loose the ball. No inbetween. First done by Pele back in the 70's. Then Maradona. Then the Brasilians in the 90's Ronaldo, Rivaldo ,etc.
C.Ronaldo truly is a beast. He was known FIRST as fast and skillfull, and scored goals occasionally. THEN he transitioned to PURE goal scoring. But the thing is how he does it. He’s not a striker actually, started as cam I think(?) . He scores anyhow anyway and his mai quality is that he hardly misses GOALS. He will almost always put it behind the new any way, extremely hard worker aswell, he’s like bigger/buffer than Conor mcgregor... beSt body he worked on. He used to be skinny guy
On my opinion you just reacted an awesome compilation of my Favourite soccer player in the world, im Portuguese and the first Big club that he played was on my club Sporting Clube de Portugal at 18, and you could already see his magic sincerly man, Cris was born to play soccer despiste his Child hood he made it and yrained hard asf and proves haters wrong every time, and for everybody that appreciate the sport king, or even just curiosity yall should watch the movie about his Life Cris, is The most complete player ever to existe, and the record holder of any records he did it all, and to be honest this youtuber on my opinion is the best react 💯✌️
The reason CR7 is the goat, in my opinion, is because he is pretty much an absolute beast in every position or skill that exists for a football player (maybe not goalie lol). He can dribble, he can free kick, he can sprint (and probably is the fastest around), his air game is probably one of the best there is, he can defend, he can play on any side of the field (and mid too), he does mad assists, he's one of the most (if not the most) dangerous finishers out there, he can shoot almost as good with his left leg as with his right... there's no position in a football field where this guy would be just "average" at it. I mean, I have massive respect for all the other greatest players out there (Messi, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Zlatan, and so on, and so forth)... but those guys are just great at some parts of the game (maybe even better than CR7... but not by far)... and like I said... what makes CR7 the true GOAT king, is his ability to be crazy good on pretty much any position.
he isn’t anywhere near the athlete lebron is. lebrons bigger stronger and jumpers much higher than ronaldo and has about 50+lbs on him. ronaldo has him for pace but lebrons ridiculously quick for a guy his size
4:34 Last minute free kick for Portugal vs Spain. We're losing 3-2, Ronaldo had already scored 2 goals... he scores the 3rd goal with this amazing free kick and freezes the Spanish crowd :D
In 2011 Ronaldo was invited by the University of Chishester for a series of Biomechanic tests. Among many astonishing results, One was that Ronaldo can jump higher than any average NBA player. That and many other examples along his career, shows that Ronaldo is the Most Powerfull and Complete Football/Athlete player in the History of the Game
Cristiano Ronaldo The greatest player ever in Football history,,,, GOAT !! #CristianoRonaldo is a true goat >>> true goat everyone knows it, even these guys who hate him realize whos boss.
Don’t know if anyone’s mentioned it, but fun fact the goal in the clip where you mentioned the turf getting ripped up was actually a shot but it disallowed because the other player was offside when he headed it into the net, Ronaldo was fuming in that clip lol. Also checking out Messi clips is a must the complete opposite of Ronaldo but just as brilliant as him
2:00 If you were familiar with soccer, you'd understand this is one of the greatest moments in soccer history. Buffon is the Juventus goalkeeper, he won everything but the champions league, which is Europe's biggest football (soccer) club title. He is a legend considered by many one of the greatest goalkeepers ever. He was 40 years old when that happened, 1/4 finals of the champions league.... Ronaldo does that, everyone applauds... everyone meaning even the fans of Juventus. This is beautiful yeah, perfectly executed overhead kick, but the real beauty is not there. It's the sheer significance of it.
And the thing is he's about 35 years old and after went through a lot of serious injury when he did that jump, and yeah he's known for hard kick especially the knuckle ball free kick. You should see his work ethic dude, about his training, meal, and sleep routine, at least in that part everyone will agree he's the GOAT
Hey man, you gotta watch a Zlatan Ibrahimovic compilation. One of the most unique players ever to play the game, and you'll love it from a technical standpoint
Bro for u to understand this man is like the Kobe Bryant of football, his mindset and his hard work it's really a lot like Kobe and for sure the winning as well
@Project Pure Athlete You should definitely watch 'Cristiano Ronaldo - Tested to the limit'. I think you would really appreciate the ammount of tallent in him from the 'movie'.
