Thanks Al! It is newer than eight years. The manual threw me off. Thanks so much for taking time to help!

Thanks for the tip on the clutch. Haven't had this problem as of yet, but there is still time. I don't take the belt off to tip the machine. Instead I loosen the tension nut on the pulley assembly, tip the machine and then re-tension the belt and tighten the nut back down. Over time, as the belt wears and stretches, you need to re-tension the belt anyway, Actually my machine came set up so tight that it was impossible to get the belt on without doing this. It only takes about 3/4 turn on the nut to loosen or tighten.

Al… I have a newer class 26. Is the procedure for resetting the clutch the same as your video of 6 years ago? The manual they give is 11 pages and the pictures for the clutch are very hard for me to understand. Is there a more complete manual anywhere? I’ve googled a lot without success. Thanks for all the videos!

@@bobvance586 if your machine is newer than 8 years old it does not have a clutch in the system.

Hi Al, regarding the clutch. Is there any reason it would engage on the very first stitch? No thread blockage or anything. I've been having issues with my machine jamming on the first stitch, not because of thread though.. something mechanical.

Have you had a thread jam? And did you clean the bobbin case properly afterwards?

@@albaneforleather I've had a thread jam before but the bobbin case is clean. I'm not sure what this issue is.. it happens randomly only on the first stitch. It will completely stall the machine (can hear the motor straining) and other times the machine will stall but then continue stitching but with an awful grinding sound, and then other times there is no issue at all and stitches perfectly fine. Its really frustrating to say the least!

Have you ever disassembled the bobbin case and made sure that there wasn't any thread underneath it?

Okay Brandon give me a call I have a solution for you.

@@albaneforleather What do you suggest? I took the face plates off and didn't see any thread at all. I have a feeling its the SmartServo-NP (I'm using a techsew 2750pro, same machine different company)
