Upgrading to some Cobra slip ons for my Harley-Davidson Heritage classic Cobra Neighbor Haters slip ons- amzn.to/2X6EcYg ILM motorcycle gloves- amzn.to/37YHYsK Condor motorcycle dolly- amzn.to/37vImwW
I have the same bike and am shopping around for stage 1 and 2 upgrades. Lmk what you go with Rich. What color do you have? I have the pine and spruce (new green color on 2020 flhcs
FerrisMedia oh yeah, I take my Ole’ Lady out with me at least twice a week. We have a great time. Helps keep them from saying you spend more time on the bike than with them.
Hang on! I just came across this video and it’s the first time I’ve seen any of your videos. You lead off with a mention of woodworking, perfect! I dabble with hand tool woodworking, so you got an instant follow.
I put these on my Indian Challenger. I had the Cobra Scallop slip ons. These are a bit louder, but a noticeable deeper throaty tone. What I like about the neighbor haters is that they are not mid life crisis I am compensating for something loud. For me these are perfect.
Lmao, that’s the stupid Verizon backup battery. Every now and then I get a beep, I disconnect and reconnect it, then it goes away for 8 months to a year.
I'm glad you mentioned the blue Loctite, all I have is the red so I'll have to pick up some of the blue, I was going to buy the short slash Vance and Hines slip-ons they seem considerably louder than the cobra neighbor hater, I think I like these Cobra better I got a 2021 Softail Standard Milwaukee 8 107 with the stock pipes on it, my first bike was a 2009 Harley Davidson Sportster that had the full Vance & Hines exhaust those were crazy loud pissed a lot of neighbors off LOL again I think I'm going to go with these cobras thanks for your video.jmacky
@Anthony Scolaro you got it decked out bro, you should go for a new seat. I have a saddleman on my bike with the backrest and it has made my bike so freakin comfy
Great video, Anthony. I’m a new rider and just got me the 2020 softail standard. Also looking to get the cobra NH pipes. Did you but the gaskets from HD online or local store. I want to make sure I get the right ones. Tnx again.
For the heritage, I bought the gaskets from a Harley dealer in Jersey. Funny thing is, I also put cobras on my Road king (which has much larger pipes) and they don’t even have gaskets. It’s just straight pipe to slip on. Not sure if those gaskets are even necessary lol
The bike sounded great when started up, loved the sound! I'm curious how loud they are when cruising on the highway or around town? I just bought a 2021 heritage and want a nice sounding exhaust but still be able to have a conversation with my passenger. Thanks!!
These slip ons sound great and yes you can have a conversation with your passenger. They’re loud but not obnoxious. I have a larger set of these on my 2019 Ultra Limited and I can still hear the radio, navigation and my passenger. You here them less on touring bikes because they go all the way below the saddle bags and to the back of the bike. With your heritage, they are more on the side of you so they seem a little louder. I had them on my Road King as well. I actually took them off the Road King when i Sold it and put them on my current Ultra Limited.
Have the same bike just got it 3mths ago..Wanting to do small upgrades like the cobra for that sound..Do the inserts come with the pkg and how much is it? I just changed my shifter with a heel toe shifter, thanks for the video hopefully more updates about bike..
Glad you liked it! the motorcycle dolly is linked in the description through my Amazon affiliate program. This dolly is worth every penny, my Road king also fits on it with room to spare.
Hello Anthony. Hey buddy I really need your help!! I saw your video for the Rigid Contractor Cast Iron Table Saw (great vid btw) that HD sells and I really need your advice about that saw because I would like to buy it. But I need your HONEST input. I just wanted to know if you still have it and did it live up to your expectations for everything that you do? How is the fence and miter gauge on it? Is it accurate, does/did it wobble around? How did the router table top in between the rails hold up? If you could please help me out with this I would be greatly appreciative Piasan. Thanks, Joe
Joe Lazz hi Joe, did you mean the Rigid contractor saw or the delta hybrid saw because I never installed a router in the rigid saw, only the Delta hybrid saw. Let me know because I don’t want to give you the wrong input
@@AnthonyScolaro1 Oh, then I got confused big time, didn't I lol. I'm sorry about that. I don't know why I thought you put the table on the Rigid. Well that kind of changes things for me now lol. So I'm assuming you have the Delta now and you no longer have the Rigid? (that Rigid look like such a nice one too)
They did, but for the sake of saving time in the video, I assumed no one wanted to see me carefully rocking the muffler back and forth for 2 whole minutes(mostly not to scratch anything). Unless you have a bike with high mileage or rusting, they come off easy. I put a set of these on my Ultra Limited after I put 6k miles on it and it took the same amount of time to get those on and off also, and the limited has the 4” slip ons. same for my Road King
Thank you , unfortunately it was so long ago I don’t remember the torque recommendation, I don’t even remember it being in the install instructions. But you can always call cobra and they’ll tell you.
Chris Seratte the gaskets have to be purchased separately. I’m not even sure you need them because my other bike(Road King) didn’t have gaskets from the factory when I removed the stock pipes and I didn’t have to put any when I installed a new set of slip ons (I put cobra neighbor haters on that bike also). The gaskets for the heritage came out to $35 from Harley.
Hey Anthony- how’s it going….. quick question . Did those slip on’s have any baffles in them ? They sounded almost like straight pipes in the video 🤔. Any De-Cell popping since you put them on ❔ Also, how’s the power ….. any gains or losses ? Thanks Bo’ solid video. ✅.
Yes they do have baffles, but they still sounded great. There was never any popping on deceleration. I traded this bike in a while back and have an Ultra Limited now and I put the bigger 4” neighbor haters on it and they sound even better because the motor is a 114 and the pipes are bigger. They sound amazing and I can still clearly hear my music through the ultra’s sound system. By the way, I had them on my Road King also. Slip ons don’t really increase power, you really have to install headers also for that but then you have to change the air intake and flash the ECM too.
@@AnthonyScolaro1 Thanks Man . Yeah I think I’m gonna go with the Cobra’s. They sound and look really good. I just picked up a 2021 Street Bob and I was looking for a good sound video for that, but most of them were pretty bad. Even though you were showing the pipes on a different motor, this video gave me a really good idea what the difference in sound / tone of the Cobra’s should be compared to stock. Slip-on is the way to go for right now , just looking to get this bike sounding like a Harley…. First HD I ever owned . Been riding Italian Bikes for the last 25 years ( Ducati’s mostly, with a few Aprillia’s and an MV Augusta thrown in for variety….. and Japanese in the dirt ). I always liked the look of HD’s but I was doing a lot of track stuff and I never really branched out to cruisers 🤷🏻♂️. Anyway man, I’m totally pumped for this bike . They put the 114 motor in the Softail frame and I F**kin Love the looks of the Bobber, so I jumped. I plan on doing ALOT to this bike down the road, ( I’ve got SERIOUS PLANS in my head 🤔, right now I need it sounding good - QUICKLY ). Quick question - you from Brooklyn ❔My home-town .. in Vegas for 11 years now 🤷🏻♂️✅ There’s tons of us out here 😆❕
Hi Anthony. Great vid. I'm interested in getting a set of the neighbor haters. My question is where did you get the bike stand? I need one of those. Thanks.
Hi, I have the link for the condor dolly in the description. It’s awesome and it holds my Road King too with no problem and it’s a much bigger heavier bike. So it’s versatile.
@@AnthonyScolaro1 is it easy to get the bike on and of the dolly ? Im afraid that the dolly move forward when riding the bike on it. Easy to turn the bike 180 degree to ride out the garage?
I’m not sure if they’re louder but I can tell you that I liked these so much that I also installed the 4” version of these on my Road king and they sound even better(obviously because the Road King pipes are much bigger) but the sound is perfect, loud but not obnoxious and they don’t set off car alarms.
@@AnthonyScolaro1 thanks bro, I have the rpt3 on my fatboy lo 2011. Also i have installed the 2.5 inch optionele silencers ( instead the 3 inch). They are at 2600 rpm about 94 db. Thats right for me. It is in accordance the dutch law. Also I use earplugs because im A little deaf ( military ) a d dont want to loose whats left :) Never seen or heard the neighborhaters couse they usually used by the touring models. Nice vid you made. Good and not to much intro.
45-60 foot pounds. I went with 50, I put neighbor haters on my Road king also. They are bigger on the road king so I went with 60. A dab of blue thread lock and they haven’t loosened and it’s been over 1,000 miles(both bikes)
