I noticed the original music video upload isn't on youtube anymore, so i'm uploading my old rip for media archival reasons (i normally dont just upload stuff i haven't edited myself). I pulled this around 2011, the program I used allowed for keeping high audio quality while downsizing video, which I did (since this went on my mp3 player). the audio should be very close (or the same as) original quality, but the video resolution might be lower. I crosschecked with my mp3, and the audio quality is consistent between the mp3 and the video. I seem to remember the video being slightly higher res, but not being HD (it was an indie band in 2007), though i think it was 480p, while this copy is more 240p-360p.
Nico Vega were a pop rock band (drawing on metal, pop punk aesthetic, and folk rock) from around 2005 to around 2015. After their first eps and LP (2005-2014) they shifted to a more mainstream pop rock sound with greater folk rock presence. They (or just their vocalist Aja Volkman) have continued sporadic releases since the main run wound down around 2015. Cocaine cooked the brain was a single from 2007, with a short pop-punkish track by nico vega, a 6 minute remix by guns and bombs, and a 4 minute re-remix for the music video. the 6 minute version is already on youtube, i noticed the 4 minute version was gone so i've uploaded it, and as far as i know the original nico vega song's studio recording is lost media. Nico Vega are notable for being one of the few pop rock bands with mild conservative/libertarian leanings in song messages, and for vocalist Aja's marriage to Dan Reynolds of Imagine Dragons (that was the plot twist of the century). Its not an incredible song, but it's an effective earworm, its been randomly stuck in my head for over a decade.
