As a roach hobbyist, I really appreciate how you guys kept fearmongering out of the vid! Really nice to see people respecting these amazing animals. There are some really interesting species out there. Even the "pest" species have some really cool color variants like the black German cockroaches or the Venom American roaches.

Thanks so much! We try to take this approach with most of our videos. In fact, we try to leave the "human" side out whenever possible, though sometimes we do fall back on those discussions as, unfortunately, a lot of scientific research into animals is funded for the purposes of humans and not the animals themselves. This video in particular was a frustration because a lot of the information was based around "pest" species and "how to rid your home of roaches" and things of that nature. Not exactly what we aim for here! Glad we were able to kept a more neutral/positive stance with this one!

@@AnimalFactFiles Yeah it's sad; you google any roach and by the first few results you get "How to kill roaches". Glad you guys gave them an unbiased vid! Information saves arthropod lives!

@@renc7305 I find them fascinating myself and keep a colony of dubia roaches. Have you ever heard of the emerald roach? If not, I highly recommend looking it up as it's absolutely gorgeous and definitely not what most people think of when they think of roaches.

I saw a unique Madagascar hissing cockroach exhibit at Ripley's Believe or Not in New York. Some cultures consider them a delicacy. Yum!

Tough little sentient beasts, another species I've never stumbled across yet in Dublin despite friends having multiple encounters, then again I've seen but two urban Foxes living here all my life(36 years) and apparently there be loads in and around the area, either they are skillfully stealthy or I'm fairly oblivious by nature.🪳🦊☘
