Gosh young people with their sochild medear stuff. The other day, a youngman ran past me on his early morning runs, only to stop to do child medear stuff. I kept looking back to see if he had resumed running, but no, he was still on it. BTW, congrats for the win!

Coco has been very likable, well-rounded, and classy. I don't think she wants to tarnish this image. The "haters" speech at the US Open put people off a bit. The reaction to this cartoon put even more people off. Complaining so publicly about her national tennis federation (while on foreign soil) put even more people off. Last year, their was endless complaining from WTA players, including Sabalenka complaining about the size of her birthday cake. I don't think WTA players want this type of reputation. It's not good for business.

Especially given all the praise and sponsorships she gets, to complain so forcefully about the attractiveness of a cartoon drawing is ridiculous.

Congrats Coco! 🤎🤎🤎 How is it that the WTA allows 6 figure salary Professional Media to be "not heard clearly", sometimes not at all, but they demand players SPEAK UP even to the most trivial and non-sport related questions?? And the WTA will tell us that they care, yes, but who do they care for more???
