This was my second time running this epic race across Arizona, and it was an even better experience the second time around! We were back to the original route this year- starting in Black Canyon City, traversing up and over the Bradshaw Mountains through Crown King to Prescott, up and over Mingus Mountain into Jerome before dropping down into the Verde Valley, through the towns of Clarkdale and Cottonwood, up into Sedona, then climbing up onto the Coconino Plateau, making a big counterclockwise loop around Flagstaff with one final climb up and over Mt Elden, and finally finishing in Heritage Square. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to have run this race twice, and so thankful to my wife, mom, pacers, and all of my friends for their unbelievable support during this epic adventure.
I was able to finish the race this year in 102:50:54, which was a 17 hour improvement over my time in 2022. This was good for 46th place out of 192 runners (137 finishers).

Belated congrats on the finish! Discovered Cocodona during the 2023 live stream. Great video, watched it all the way through. It's probably one of the best that highlights the course and experience.

Thanks! There’s so much that happens during an event like this so it can be tricky to know what to film without feeling like the video is becoming too long/redundant. It’s long, but so is the race… I appreciate you watching the whole thing!

🤣 I said the same thing about the bigfoot 200 race, and I've attempted it 3 times now. 2024 will hopefully be my 4th and final try, 🙏 I make it across the finish line.

Funny how that works, isn’t it? “I’m never doing this again…” three days later, back on ultrasignup 😂. Good luck at Bigfoot this year, you got this!

I live in Prescott. I just found your channel and am enjoying watching you run. I wish I could run as far as you, but enjoy running Thumb Butte. Keep up the training, you can do anything!

Thanks so much! I’ve been living in Flagstaff for the past year and a half or so, but am actually moving back to Prescott this summer so I’m pretty excited about that. No better place to be! Thumb Butte is a beautiful spot to run.
