that last line himeko says to kiana as she goes through the door always destroys me, and its infinitely more painful in japanese because himeko says, "kiana, you are my pride." rather than just "you make me proud." but they mean almost the same thing. "you are my pride" is just so personal and embodies everything that herrscher of flamescion is so everytime i just bawl when i hear it
This is the farewell that we never wanted and will never be. I have watched several Captains reacts on this but still, I cry along with them. It still hurts. 😭
Man, you're doing great work on these clips. That cut on the Himeko and Kiana bit was so clean that I didn't notice a thing until she started crying. Keep it up
Himeko makes me remember my late grandmom from my mom's side that I refuse to end that chapter. It just floods me with emotions and difficult to process realities now that she is not with me anymore. She was my confident, my "partner in crime", my pal. And Himeko makes me remember her. So full of life, so confident, so secure, so... Bright. Like the sun, like a morning star.
Ik we always give mihoyo massive praise on the writing, but I have to say the VAs did such a beautiful job here. ❤️ One of most amazing bits of voice acting I have seen in ages!
Watching Honkai reaction clips to see other people get hit with emotional damage... but it's a double edged sword when I also get hit by return emotional damage ; ;
With the happy ending that Ch 25 has, people forget and/or underestimate just how much emotional damage that chapter actually inflicts. As good as Ch 28 was, Ch 25 is still peak HI3.
Kianas character development is what every single anime, manga and LN wish to have for their MCs. Honestly, not a single one of them could come even anywhere close to this "it's just a mobile game, bro" at all.
@@shirayuzu @Yuzu Shira that whole himeko part broke me, especially the part where you had to choose between leaving or talking to her. Which I chose the latter obviously. Then I talked to her a few minutes while bawling my eyes out then left cause I couldn't take it anymore. But lo and behold, apparently there was more to it so I went back and kept continuing with a straight face since I've already encountered the scene but when the special cg ended and I went to talk to her once more. "Himeko tenderly looks at you, talking no more." That line broke me down one last time.
@@cry-o1436 that was me, too. Most of the time spent in the scene is actually slow walking with himeko, and just walking out with a straight face and lips tight-shutted And then "you are my proud/made me proud" came up to me as an explosive-choked out-of-commissioned building collapsed on a click of a detonator. Then I process to walk along without even getting my tissues cause fk it, a hercherr is dying today
I like the way sirin calls her kiana at the end! for me this is like another one confirmation that now kiana is absolutely free. now she's definitely kiana.
Every time i watch Everlasting Flames and Final Lesson (and Thus Spoke Apocalypse) i can't do anything but cry. They did such a great job setting the lore and everything, it's just amazing. All the small details hinting to how Kiana is adopting Himeko's fighting style for example, the same falling slash (15:45) as Himeko in Final Lesson just after seing Himeko's illusion, the lines both say after getting up from a beating: "are you done? it's my turn now!" gonna butcher it but it's something like "monku Aru!" Just amazing.
Bro chapter 25 literally made me have a emotional breakdown 😢 himeko is like a mother to me and I didn't want to lose her but chapter 25 was basically her funeral and it just let my emotions out 😔 it made me feel sad and glad
I remember doing this part like it was yesterday....didn't want to go through that door....talked to her as much as I could...until she didn't have any new dialogue.....even then, I stayed with her, until I had to move on...this was depressing....before, you had to move on. This time, you need to willingly move on.
Each skill that HFS has is named after one of her fam: Tempered Warrior's Strike: Mei Blazing Chariots Trail: Bronya Lone Phoenix Plume: Fu Hua Fiery Hymn's Pledge: Theresa The Blade Supreme, Rekindled: Himeko And last of all, Nameless Knight-Errant's Path: Kiana Kaslana, herself. Represented visually by the visual changes she undergoes in this animation with each's help appears, like hair ornaments following Bronya's crown's style.
Thinking about this entire arc especially Kiana Vs Sirin part is indeed a well written part but I just can't stop thinking that if Sirin somehow accept Kiana and instead of let herself go and disappear decide to join force with Kiana. How powerful the new herrscher born from that will be? (Just think about HOF+Benares that going to be super cool!)
Real honkai fans will cry a ton in this chapter. Because we see how painful kiana's life, but she never give up. If someone ask me the best protagonist chara, I would say Kiana.
My theory is Himeko is still alive. Just trapped like when Selle saved Bronya or when Kiana saved Fua Ha...the sea of quanta, where she fell. After all,Kiana was apparently able to reach through and grasp her weapon. And Himiko keeps communicating with her occasionally.
Not really, it is confirmed that she did die and her conscious or at least an essence of her became attached to the gem that Kiana retrieved from the HoD. Said gem was used to give some strength and power to Himeko's battle suit, Vermilion Knight. Said gem was now later used by Kiana becoming the Herrscher of Flamescion. Himeko's body has been perished for a long time in the Imaginary Space (correct me if I'm wrong here). She's truly, factually, sadly, unfortunately, dead.
If you've played in that chapter, there's a scene where Mei asks Kevin to find Himeko. Kevin answered "The Himeko you are looking for is gone, including Sea of Quanta"
@@caseygalan5968 no one hate her. it was just she couldn't forgive what all Otto did to Kiana and friends, especially Himeko. coconoa loves Himeko so much
