Wow! God bless you ma'am. I love everything coconuty so I'm definitely going to try this out. I can't wait. I noticed you used the blended coconut mixture. Thought you were going to extract just the milk and use. My o my! I can't wait to give this a try. God bless you so much for sharing this with us.

Hello to you! I found you while looking for coconut recipes...and this coconut chin chin looks like pure Heaven!! While here I found myself looking through and watch MANY of your videos. Everything just looks so very good! I must admit that I have never tried Nigerian food. I was born and raised in Montana, USA and I don't believe I have ever had the opportunity. I'm hoping maybe I can get my grown children (18, 20, & 26) to try making something for me and them of course. I'm disabled and confined to a bed and wheelchair, so I'm not able to cook anymore. I look for things I think we will all like. Unfortunately, unless you know of anywhere that sells Coconut Chin Chin that I can buy it already made...I might not get to try it...I'm not sure I can convince my kids to make it...because I'm the only one in the family that LOVES coconut! So, if you know of anyone that will let me pay to make me some; please let me know...I would so love to try it. I'm so glad I found your channel...and I subscribed right away when I saw all the yummy foods and drinks on it!!
Thank you for subscribing. Unfortunately, I am not located in the state, I would have loved to specially deliver some Coconut Chin Chin to you. Thank you so much for watching 😊.
Its too much flour that causes the oil to foam. I mean the flour used for cutting not the one in the dough. Try substituting the some of the flour with oil.
This is a very nice recipe and I really appreciate this.... I can't wait to try this please can I use a normal granulated sugar instead of cane sugar, and can I also use coconut powder cos I don't have food processor please urgent reply ma
I can't wait to try this!... I'm not a fan of chin chin but I know with that milk + whole coconut!!!.... I will personally finish what I make lool. Thank you for sharing.
It's the level of oil that causes the foaming of oil in the pan. One tip I was given is to divide the height of the frying pan into 3 (eyeball measurement), then pour the oil to the lowest 1/3 of the pan and fry the chin-chin and remember not to overcrowd the pan. Good luck 👍🏾
Amazing recipe. Please need urgent answer. I don't want to do coconut style but just plain chin chin, if I use the same ingredients with the misurements is it still OK? Or is there some changes? Thnx so much
Yes, you can. Replace the blended coconut with 50ml evaporated milk (or water or fresh milk). But do not add the milk at once, rather bit by bit until you have achieved the consistency as shown in the video. Thanks for watching.
Thank you very much. I love your cutting skills. I tried this and it was super yummy. Please, i hear there is velvet chin chin and even chocolate chin chin. Have you tried them before? If yes, what was the recipe and how did you know they were ready since the color doesn't make it obvious
Hi, thank you for trying out the recipe. I have not heard of velvet chin chin and chocolate chin chin, however I think it will taste so yummy. Thanks for watching 😊
Ma, for the coconut can we add coconut milk if yes what’s the measurement for the coconut milk or can we use coconut milk instead the powered milk and ma did u add water
Thanks for the recipe. I didn't use sunflower oil to fry mine so i noticed a sore throat feeling when i eat the chin chin after preserving it for some days. What can cause that please?
Magdalene Charles Sorry to hear about that, I have never experienced that, you might probably be reacting to one of the ingredients or it could be due to something else. The best way to store the chin chin is in the refrigerator. Thank you.
Up to 6 months in the freezer. Up to a month in the fridge. Up to a week if properly fried, stored in an air-tight glass jar, and placed in a cool dry play, away from direct sunlight. Thanks for watching.
