Simple Thakkali Thengai Chutney recipe,
Take 3 ripe tomatoes wash and roughly chop them.
Take 3 tbsp coconut, 3 dried red chilies, 3 Kashmiri chilies, 2 tbsp urad dal or chana dal, small pieces of tamarind, and curry leaves.
Roast everything with a tbsp of oil and grind it to a fine paste along with salt.
Finally tadka with mustard seeds and urad dal.
That’s it Tomato Coconut chutney is ready to serve!
This is chutney is a little spicy, I used both Kashmiri chili and normal chili combo, you can use normal chilies too. Also, Adjust the spice level according to your taste buds.
Dilute the chutney according to your preferences, more diluted version tastes excellent.
This chutney tastes good for 2 days in the fridge!
