MW2 had the best (and certainly most memorable) soundtrack of all of the CoD series. They seriously need to consider bringing Hans Zimmer back for another CoD game!
the online was imperfect but oddly enough the best cod experience. For instance, noob tubing at its worst.. host leader could not pull back entire team from lobby. annoying host migration lol but by far it had some of the best maps all in one game
Oh god... at 1:21, when i imagined the battle at White house, the feeling you are fighting for such an important place, and knowing the fight is still not over and then, when you finnaly got inside you heard, and you heard ith all the way to the roof, Foley's comments, time's running ... hammerdown is in effect i repeat hammerdown is in effect, if you are recieving this transmission you are in a hardened high-value structure , deploy green flares on roof of this structure to indicate you are still combat effective, we will abort our mission on a visual contact with this counter-sign, (30 seconds to weapons release) (30 second GO! We got to push through!)... that tension, knowing that all those enemies have no idea what is gonna happen when you don't get to the roof and still they are trying to stop you, that music at 2:25 wich encouraged you to hurry, throw flashbang in to the room full of enememies and run straight through it, get to the stairs, light that flare and run to the roof and there, as the bombers flew over your head while you were waving with a green flare you saw green smoke coming from many other places in D.C. ... i cried a little.
Yes,very impressive moments. But the italian vesion is a little different,he didn't say "Hammerdown in effect" but "Tabula Rasa in esecuzione. There's not a big difference, but I don't know the american version before and I found that strange.
Whiskey hotel and Second Sun were some of my favourite COD missions of all time. The emotion you felt and the atmosphere was just spot on, huge respect to the team for making this memorable masterpiece
I'd love whiskey hotel more if the open fields part doesn't kill me several times. Dying that many times on a segment really takes me out of the immersion
@@some_cool_random_guyi wholeheartedly agree, definitely up there with my favourite mission of all time. only missions that rival it are the final missions in MW2 and 3 as you get to kill Shepherd and Makarov
@@fabio6170 That's not what the original comment was pointing out. It was pointing out that Modern Warfare 2, compared to newer games, is far superior.
This game made me want to join the army. I know life isin't a game but the dedication and level of discipline and determination to do it is the incentive that drove me to seek them out
metallicak5 I’m pretty sure your still not old enough to join the army. Trust me, it’s not a thing you want to do. I’ve had several friends and family members who have been in the U.S. Army and Navy and most have said that it’s just pure hell. It’s your choice but think of it this way, would you be able to live with yourself after you have murdered someone?
Oh… you’re here for a nostalgia hit? Well, glad it’s making you happy but the NEW COD WWII SOUNDTRACK is on my channel now and ready to viewed! Check out the FULL PLAYLIST here: ru-vid.com/group/PL5_iUd4dWawas_yfBty5SMI3WI67-WDhN See you on the other side, my friend ;)
Lol hi 10 years later 😁 If you can even see my comment :) So much has changed... yet MW2's soundtrac remains an all-time prime masterpiece. All the best in your life, bro!
doing homework, while this is on has never been this epic... thank you Hanz Zimmer for your delightful epic music in Modern Warfare 2 when I was NoobTubing....
I forgot how epic this game's singleplayer was until the mentions of MW2 remaster... such good memories. Couldn't stop playing until I beat the campaign is one sitting the first time I played, might be time to dust off the old copy I have in the closet.
Coming back to this after listening to the soundtrack of MW2 2022 and MW3 2023 (Or rather, lack thereof) really shows just how important a good soundtrack is to have in a game
rarely i feel goosegumps in videogames... and the missions of this game in washington DC really made me have it ALOT! i really cant imagine if something like that happens...
Randomly had 2:25 to 3:00 pop up in my head after it's been years since playing this game (3-4 yrs) So awesome soundtrack. Really moving piece and especially that part I remembered is great and rememberable.
I love this part of the song in the mission "Of Their Own Accord". It's epic but isn't glorious, it's just and it's got that kind of 'humming' feeling that makes it really dark in a way.
The first part of this OST seems to be the background music for the oilrig spec ops mission when you take down 15 juggernauts. When I took down those 15 juggernauts with the Barrett, I thought that sniper was the best against such enemies... but I recently found out the WA2000 (only found in the Estate mission) has a higher fire rate without the crappy firepower of the Dragunov.
