Have you heard of the Codabow Aspire? Is it discontinued? What are its characteristics?

Either that fiddle has a good tone or you can make any fiddle sound good,it sounds sweet.

Would you consider this bow THE bow for Celtic/Irish fiddle playing on both the violin and cello out of all of the coda bows?

Personally, I would. The way that it reacts to the string, is similar to when a Celtic player holds the bow closer to the balance point (“chokes up”) on the bow. The Luma gives me the super lightweight feel I want, while still connecting nicely to the string. No need to hold the bow any higher up than the leather wrap anymore!

@@Creationhorse You don’t lose any “loudness” but the overall tone is warm, so it’s not as piercing as say, the SX. Different timbres.

@@JonathanHWarren I tried the Luma, SX, and GX. The SX was the best for me.. Very quick bow, really nice tone with my 1920s violin. So this is the one I'm buying 😊.
