Suzaku had been a growing annoyance to me. He kept claiming it's about the morally correct means mattering more than the ends, but in his service to Britannia, he engaged in morally wrong actions frequently. Yet he clung to his status as a solider, and determinedly rose through the ranks, still claiming to want to "chance the world from within," yet doing absolutely nothing to do so. In the end his motives were as personal and twisted as LeLouche's were. The only difference is LeLouche had focus on a goal to make the world a better place, and Suzaku lost his. He was acting solely out of hatred and vengence, not trying to make the world batter.
"still claiming to want to "chance the world from within," yet doing absolutely nothing to do so." What are you talking about? Suzaku's plan almost worked. By befriending, serving, and showing the leadership of Britannia how capable and equal the Japanese were, he was almost able to cause Britannia leadership create a special zone that would be lead and govern by the Japanese and everyone would be equal. And if said zone was successful, Britannia would expand it. This plan came so close to succeeding. And who fucked it up? Lelouch, because of combination of him having a giant ego, shitty running speed, and being shit at telling jokes.
That wasn't Suzaku. That was Eupemia all on her own because she had walked the streets and seen how the Japanese were treated. The entire ruling class of Britania was against it. It's just by making a public announcement about it before consulting with anybody, they had no choice but to go along. I agree that Leloch was the one who screwed the pooch on that one. He'd been warned that his geass power would surge at some point and he wasn't careful enough. But he was willing to take responsibility for his actions. When confronted about it later, he even claimed it was deliberate rather than an accident. If there is one thing admirable about Lelouch, it was that he took responsibility for everything he did.
Kipling Kat There are many things wrong with that statement. 1) One of the main reasons why Eupemia wanted to go with that plan was because she deeply loved Suzaku. 2) If it hadn't been for Suzaku being an outstanding Britannian soldier who helped prevent a Chinese, there would have been a lot more push back from Britannians and a lot more distrust from the Japanese. Hell, halfway through the series the Black Knights were debating with each other about whether or not to assassinate Suzaku due to how much public sway he had. 3) Eupemia did get permission before announcing it. Sniezal happily gave her his permission. And the Emperor could have easily denied Eupemia's plan if he wanted to since he doesn't give a shit about whether or not the Japanese get angry about it.
@@trevordavis6830 based on your first Statement you really make euphy look like a Stupid Woman only for the sake of Suzaku, and i don't think She did go with that mainly for Suzaku but the people in general. Suzaku really did nothing to change the current state not even when he was promoted to Knight of round Since he only went to watch Lelouch and stop the black Knights, He only waited for the opportunities to find him , he never did anything to create one by himself to change things. so yeah my hate for Suzaku Doesn't change and i you are in the wrong
I know...I don't know why. I love the art of this show and I think they drew him beautifully. And he has wonderful character traits. Pride, persistance, etc. But...I hate him. I just think he's so stupid and irritating. It may be....his decisions and consistent uncaring for his friends I think...
