20:55 - Jeremiah knew that Lelouch "Lamperouge" was Zero, but what he didn't know is that Lelouch is a prince of Britannia and Marianne's son. His loyalty now to Lelouch is justified by the respect he has for Marianne (and therefore her son) and because he just found out that Britannia may have had a hand in Marianne's death.

By the way Shirley ran away when she saw Suzaku with sunglasses was because that reminded her of Mao And great that you realized Shirley was leading Suzaku away from Lelouch to help Lelouch out. Few people actually realized that

Funfact: Code Geass has these "Picture Dramas" which are basically very short (2-3 minutes) audiobooks with a few artworks read by the voice actors of the characters that appear in them. One of these Picture Dramas features a private conversation between Jeremiah and Viletta from S1 where he tells Viletta that he was part of Marianne's royal guard in the past and still regrets not being able to save her and her kids. That Picture Drama was actually released before S2 came out, so people who saw that could have actually predicted this Jeremiah Heel Turn coming if they figured that Jeremiah would ever realize who Lelouch actually is. :) That said, I do kinda wish that scene was in the actual show instead of just in a Picture Drama since it does a lot to humanize Jeremiah as a character.

And here we are, this just makes me tear up every time. So Geass works on the mind, not on the physical body.

Lelouch's command to Shirley to "Don't die" actually worked, because you could see her brain synapses rearranging and her eyes were glowing red, and her body was actually pumping out even more blood to try to stay alive since she already lost so much blood, but unfortunately that only made it worse and she ended up losing even more blood

Jerimiah started out as a man with a purpose, serving and protecting Marriane. When he failed at that, he became an ambitious man, but because of Zero his ambitions got him demoted 3 ranks and cooked alive by Kallen. Rebuilt as a cyborg, he's come to terms with the fact that he will never have the public glory and power he sought when he framed Suzaku, so he's turned back to purpose again, the purpose of getting revenge on Zero and destroying Brittania's greatest threat even if he's never acknowledged. But when he discovers that Zero's purpose aligns with his original purpose of serving Marriane, he finds not only new life, but meaning in all of the suffering Zero put him through.

Whenever Lelouch get new ally, he will loose someone. In episode 13, Lelouch lost Shirley but got Jeremiah. In episode 11, Lelouch got Xin Ke but lost Kallen.

When Lelouch tells Rolo "we are the only brothers we have" that's a lie LOL. Lelouch still had Schniezel and Odysseus as brothers.

I think one thing to keep in mind with all the Britannians not recognizing Lelouch is that he was like REALLY young when he went into exile. I know his child face and adult face look the same to us, but it's entirely possible for those that should have known him might think any number of things since from their perspective "Prince Lelouch" has been missing for over a decade. For all they know "Lelouch Lamperouge" could be a look-a-like that is using the name "Lelouch" to invoke the missing prince.

I love the 180 they do with Jeremiah. Going from one of lelouch’s biggest enemies to one of his greatest allies. It might seem like a ploy at first but he’s not lying Jeremiah was one of Marianne’s guards when she died, he deeply respected her and loved her as a person and though that her death was his biggest failure in life so he sought glory prestige through battle to honor her (seeing that she was an ex Ilene knightmare pilot). Then zero appeared tarnishing everything he had worked to build making him Jeremiah’s worst enemy. When he finally realized that lelouch was Marianne’s son and that the emperor had a part in her death he understood the role of zero and saw that he had a path of redemption by following the son of the one he though he failed. And as other have already said there are a few audio short stories that are pretty much just conversations between the characters that were released before s2. One of them was Jeremiah taking to villetta about his failure to protect Marianne foreshadowing him joining lelouch if he ever found out his true origins

Jeremiah and Cornelia were so hateable in the first season only to randomly pop back up and be two of my favorite characters.

I must say, that impersonation of the female night of the round was spot on!! 🔥🔥

Kinda insane the purist faction in Britania and the Black Knights, two factions completely opposed to each other, were both created to avenge Marianne. Only difference is Jerimiah bought the nonsense about who the perpetrators were hook line and sinker.

Having the name of a royal is common in monarchical societies. Especially if the common folk would look like them. That’s why they probably didn’t notice that it’s lelouch the royal prince.

Essentially.. With Lelouch his geass works in a way that physically and mentally makes someone do what he says, if it's at all possible for them to accomplish an order they will do it If it is possible, if it's not, like in this case, the geass will work, their brain will be rewired to force them to try and carry out the order, but if they aren't physically capable of doing so it will fail Which to a lesser kind of opposite degree it's also why Euphy was able to resist geass for a moment, and it's why her initial approach was to just.. ask nicely that everyone kills themselves? because she was not mentally capable of carrying out such a horrible order, and she mentally and emotionally rebelled against it. This episode broke my heart And this is where everything starts spiraling for everyone.. x.x prepare for an emotional ride lol..

Bruh I was expecting Shirley to come back until the very last episode. I did not want to believe it. I don’t know who I hate more Rolo or Nina lol.
