Interesting recent find, Code 3 PSE Force 4 branded XL5K. Could be a short bar, or Mid length. Outside of the R/B dome combo its pretty loaded including 2 inner Stingers.
This one will end up on the back burner a good winter project until I can get around to it.

Back in the day, I had a Code3 XL. My version was all sealed beam, 4 dual bulb rotators and the two cut outs on the front were for Stingers. Mine was all red, and I swapped out the end caps to clear to serve as intersection sweeps. I loved that old bar.

The sealed beam versions were the XL9K series. I prefer the sealed beam versions of the SD and XL bar over the newer XL5K or Force 4 bars.

Fingers crossed! It largely depends on parts. Its not really all that bad.. at least so far

largely depends on the options installed, Red XLs are very common. I'd say that a 9K to me is worth more then a 5K or force4 bar. But that is my opinion.

XL9K then. Depending on overall condition $150 to $250 possibly more if bar is in Excellent condition.

Sealed beam lights were called Code 3. So the Code 3 version of the XL was called XL 9000. In the early 90's PSE rebranded all bars as Code 3.

I think you meant Force 4 on that last part, but yeah. Its pretty confusing just coming into it.

In the early 90s around 1993 I rember both the LP and XL started to appear with code 3 on them

I bet this was originally on an airport unit which would explain the need for a yellow beacon on top.

All I know is there was a teardrop light. Could also have been green, for a command vehicle.
