I can assure you the daytime fishing isn't always this good, just that there were a lot of fish about in that period. Like to fish in/into daylight if I can, because when I get in a tangle, etc (which I do from time to time) it is more difficult to sort out in the dark.
Hi mate just arrived at Skegness looking to do some fishing whats best bait to use and where to get it been to fishing shop in inglemells and best place for parking and fishing been told huttoft beach is good thanks for any info great channel
WAGs tackle in Skegness, on Roman Bank, usually have a good stock of frozen sea bait. If Ricky serving he will put you right. Chapel Point there is a chap called Dud who sells frozen bait. He lives in the bungalow opposite the car park, easily spotted as he stands fishing rods for sale by his gate Trunch Lane, Chapel St Leonard’s , right at the end Lakeside Tackle usually have a good supply of frozen bait. Squid is as good as anything this time of year, unless you can get fresh peeler crab. Catches have beeen very hit and miss. You will need gripper lead weights to hold bottom most of time. Huttoft is the easiest for parking and beach fishing. Chapel six marshes, North of Chapel point will also usually get you away from the crowds. Most people fish 2 hours either side of high tide, although fish can turn up at any time, or not at all. Good luck.
Not a recognised fishing mark, although some do fish the North end at the back of the animal gardens and some near the ramp at trusville holiday camp. Personally, in that area, I think the better marks are to be found from sandilands (just South of Sutton on Sea) , Huttoft car terrace and Moggs Eye.
No rod licence is required for sea fishing from the beaches. Certain piers, private docks, etc may require a permit. Freshwater fishing requires an environmment agency rod licence
Only if they are of a size that you can a decent fillet from, unless they are gut hooked (when they go into fishcakes). Believe in catch and release where possible, if they are not worth taking to give a decent meal.
Yes there were a few technical difficulties. I blame the editing team, lol. First try on the beach and the sound did not come out any where near good enough to use, due to being in the waterproof case. It is definitely something i will work on in the future. Thanks for your support and feedback.
