@@KONEIL1775Texas huh? I’m not from Texas and have never been there but so many famous country music stars have come from there. As wonderful as Cody is I’m not surprised he’s from Texas. 😊😊
This is country music. It's nice to hear a new country music singer sound actually country and not sound like they're trying so hard to put a thick accent on a song. So good!
And he’s been touring the country for the past 7… we’ve seen him MULTIPLE times here in Memphis/North Miss… I absolutely LOVE this guy. He’s a genuine Troubadour. An American Cowboy. A Man’s Man.. knows how to throw down, carry a tune, and gut punch you right in the FEELS! His vocals, along with his song writing! All around Classic in the Making!!!
I watched Cody sing this, first hand at the Opry and it feels like a dream to see him play it now, in front of Vince. I can't play this cover loud enough, Cody singing this lets George know, "someone will fill their shoes..." by God.
George would be so proud to know his legacy is going to continue with a new generation who wanna give their all to this great music thank you to all the greats who came before us to sing and make this possible. Willie George Waylon Johnny Cash just to name a few.
I pray to God to give you a lot of beautiful days and I hope you know God loves us so much, where are you originally from? I am Martins originally from Lens France but currently living in Detroit Michigan now and you?
Cody is totally new to me. I like him. Good, good singer. Pulls off the soft ballad sound but opens up an tears the roof off. Bravo. Vince! King of High Lonesome. And guitar chops like a big dog.
just got back from bootcamp and i will say cody johnson is a huge reason why i made it through. coming back home and finding this performance from him was the icing on the cake.
I pray to God to give you a lot of beautiful days and I hope you know God loves us so much, where are you originally from? I am Martins originally from Lens France but currently living in Detroit Michigan now and you?
man just to think all this talent was being hidden inside a rodeo cowboy at one point!! I'm so glad he decided to take a chance with his music because he's phenomenal!!
I was fortunate to hear COJO 6 years ago in BCS This is a TRUE COUNTRY ARTIST! This is what true country music is. Not this bs pop rap twirking crap we have now. GOD BLESS CIDY JOHNSON AND TRUE COUNTRY MUSIC AND OF COURSE TEXAS!!!
I think the two greatest voices in country music in my lifetime have been Ronnie Dunn (who still fricken has it and it’s amazing) and Vince Gill! To be able to do either one of these two men justice is doing something great. Cody most certainly did this song justice. I had absolute chills. Cody has to be my favorite current vocalist. The pure, raw emotion he brings is unmatched.
I think, unfortunately, you'll never hear him on the so-called country music stations, cuz hes "too country"! I cry every time i hear " I cant even walk without holding your hand" He's simply the best thing to come around in a long time!!
i havent listened to vince in a long time because i used to sing his songs to this girl in nova scotia over a land line phone and they would bring back to many memories even today they still do so thank you vince for always being a part of my life and carla's where ever she is now ........... love from hamilton ontario canada
I found at least one guy who gets to nail the harmonising perfectly at 2:53. None of the other recordings are perfect as this. (Even Vince Gill himself seems to acknowledge).
Awesome, he is right up there with Merle Haggard, Vince Gill, George Jones, Willie Nelson & Conway Twitty. You can't beat the old school icon's of the real deal country music. Keep it coming Cody!!!. God bless & stay safe.
I thought this was maybe the best performance last night but it was a great show from everybody and the band featuring Tom Bukovac and Jed Hughes on guitar was fantastic!
Hello Peggy 👋 Simple music can make you sing, a simple hug can make you feel, better, simple things can make you happy, I hope my simple hello will put a smile on your face..
Totally agree rare to hear real country music. I’ve become a big Cody Johnson fan as of lately he ranks up there with my all time favorite Garth Brooks
I seen cody in concert, hes a rockin dude, reminds me of seein garth in the younger years and aldean, they know how to keep a crowd on there feet, cody is very well worth the money
So Cody said to Vince I personally what to thank you for deadercating your live to country music I think we can all agree on that strong words from Cody Johnson
What a respectable statement Cody, Vince is one in a million, Vince is truly extraordinary in his talent and hiS kindness. good job CODY. I love you Vince Gill for all you do for others. Your Talent is Amazing
