I'm not a big fan of country music, but this dude is pure gold.

Amazing how Chris is so nervous to express himself with words, but when it comes to singing into that microphone and playing that guitar he’s crystal clear.

90% of the time I get a lump in my throat the very moment I hear Chris’ voice. It’s so authentic and passionate. That kind of realness is so rare, can’t help but be moved by it.

sometimes when Chris sings, i have to turn it off because my emotions overwhelm me. this was simply beautiful. Vince is one of the most talented song writers, and his gentle yet powerful voice is hard to standup against. Chris Stapleton really honored him with this performance. I cried my way through this, and have several times. Thank you for this absolutely gorgeous piece of music.

There is obviously some great talent out there, in my opinion there is no better voice in my 43 years of hearing things, than mr. Stapleton.

Two singers can bring tears to my eyes just hearing them sing from the soul: David Phelps and Chris Stapleton. Anointed. My wife walked in asking why I was teary-eyed listening to this. Vince Gill brought me to country music in the 80s when this song evoked strong emotion from within me. His voice is so unique. Chris Stapleton is so unique and soulful in a different but even stronger way. I never imagined I would hear this song sang by anyone that would rival and surpass Gill. Simply beautiful. Every time I hear him cover classic songs, he knocks it out of the park.
