There are use-cases for a more gradual "reversal" from deficit to maintenance for some people transitioning from a fat loss diet to a body mass maintenance diet, but it's not the magical thing many bodybuilders believe in and post-show they most definitely would benefit more from a "recovery" diet (unless psychologically they somehow do better with a "reverse diet") /shrug
