Cody Millers' 4 Hour Halo CE AGDQ Run 

This is the worst Normal/Heroic speedrun of CE I have ever seen. Let's talk about why. First difficulty lowering: 26:40 Second difficulty lowering: 2:43:11 - He gets lost on 343G - He couldn't do the AotCR jump - He doesn't shield bump on Keyes - About an hour and a half is spent playing the last 4 levels on Normal This guy is a total embarrassment to anyone he is associated with. It baffles my mind he decided to do this WHEN DOESN'T EVEN KNOW HOW TO GET THROUGH 343 GUILTY SPARK. He verbatim says "I'm lost." What the fuck? My best time on this entire game on Legendary is 2 hours long and that's nowhere near today's WR. This motherfucker is so dumb for going to this event and any person at AGDQ should have realized that this guy was a total hack and not representative of Halo speedruns.

I backed up off the cliff. 57:12 - easier on legendary 59:35 - im not nervous anymore 1:02:25 - not sure what trigger is. dies again 1:14:11 - dont do that 1:23:25 - big boy questions him 1:26:11 - door glitch fail 1:30:26 - are u kidding? 1:34:20 - snow glitch fail 1:53:27 - i didnt know they'd be there 1:57:34 - i gotta take this slow 2:00:07 - this is where i should be using the shortcut 2:02:54 - ridiculous 2:04:24 - awkward silence with excuses 2:17:20 - embarrassing really 2:22:00 - how long have i been doing this? 2:26:10- i think its ok for not having practiced huh? 2:29:15 - no death's on halo 2 2:31:05 - forgotten my way 2:32:43 - can i just finish later? 2:42:43 - lowers to normal 2:45:27 - better on console or pc? big boy cant take it anymore. the awkward shuffle of the big boy's weight as he makes his exit. He cant take it anymore. 2:54:01 - refers to cheat run 2:56:08 - promise 3:08:42- ? 3:26:22- late rocket 3:27:23 - im bad at multiplayer 3:33:39 - angry. 3:41:00 - final run. You guys r hating me 3:44:40 - looks to the crowd. Halo in a nutshell 3:50:34 - how long have I been doing this 3:52:04 - no idea where I'm going 3:59:00 - I promise it will be better 4:03:20 - it's OK to make fun of me 4:09:58 - this is on normal. I can't grenade jump 4:18:20 - 4.5 hours

Actually this was entertaining, seeing a cheater being exposed live at an event he deserves all the comes too him, he had major record's in the past and even won prizes and money

Oh man, from the start you know it's going to be painful when the guy ditches the pistol on PoA.

I didn't really know what to expect with pace, so I booted up MCC and Halo CE, to start playing alongside this video on legendary. I lagged behind him by about 20 seconds or so until the dropships on the second level. And then I died a few times. And then I got in the warthog. And then I drove, passed the light bridge, started sniping, rescuing marines, and this guy was just finishing up with the first dropships. And I haven't tried rushing legendary before either, so this was new to me.

The only thing that would make this worse is if one of the guys in the couch would be a Halo expert and narrate all the tricks the runner is doing or will do. The cringe would be unreal as cody either does to the tricks or fails miserably and the couch guy goes from happy and talkative to completely silent as the run continues. After the 5th "Oh that's unfortunate" he would probably stop talking. And also, cody would probably ask him to complete the run.

This is quite literally the single greatest speedrun of all time. This runner is a BEAST! GO CODY!!

How I would've loved to witness this with a full auditorium in the background.

You know what would have masked this grift nearly perfectly? Audience engagement. Ask the moderator to solicit some challenges, and have the difficulty of said challenges mask the fact that you are not nearly as good at speedrunning as you purport to be. Had he been leaning back in the couch and engaging with Twitch chat, I firmly believe that nobody would think anything of this really long run.

This is the most risible, embarrassing shit I've ever seen. He never seems to have refuted the allegation of H2 cheating/splicing so, combined with this horrid spectacle, it's obviously true. Sociologists and psychologist would find this video valuable for analyzing the extreme second hand embarrassment/unspoken internal dialogue in everyone in that room.

Oh god I cringed. Some of the tricks are admittedly really hard, but he didn't even know the backup strats like jumping between the glass on the bridges or the camo jump.

What bothers me is how he drops the Magnum and keeps the AR multiple times.

I probably wouldn't fare much better, my best CE Legendary time is around 2:20:00 but that was pretty much a spliced run due to my constant checkpoint reversions, and I was using much newer strats and tricks to boot. Big difference between me and this guy is that I'd know better than to try and run CE at GDQ.

I wouldn't call this a speed run even if you played the video at x2 speed as it would still be twice the length of the current WR. This is a straight up casual run lmao. Betting this guy has friends who speed run and he completed the campaign on legendary over the course of a couple days and started bragging about how fast he could've got it done if it was a single playtrhough lol

It's rare to see someone attempting speed runs on the original version of Halo. Most streamers I usually see only run on the PC port. The PC port is a lot faster than the other versions including MCC.

This is the very first AGDQ run that I have seen where the runner wasn't an expert in the game they chose to run. Usually they spend the run talking about facts of the game and how different strategies work, but here he seems to be mostly unaware of what was happening. Why did he think it was a good idea to do this? He should have been aware that he would have a hard time with the game.

Keep in mind that this event happened a long time ago. Yes its the internet, and videos live forever. But in reality, this man has lived several more years after this... I can guarantee it has changed him. It was a total humiliation for him and its never fully gone away. I'd just say that maybe its not time to keep piling on hate for him. It just doesn't do any good. Really the best thing to do is learn from it... if you're ever tempted to cheat or lie or cut corners, it's probably going to find you out and its gonna hurt a lot when it does.

Cody Miller is to Halo speedrunning as Sleepy Joe is to the US Presidency. An incompetent cheater who has no idea what the hell is even happening around him.

Maybe he was so nervous before starting speedrun, you can even see he is not prepared 100 %. But when you play for money and everybody can see you on camera its diferent feeling. And its difficult to cheat with speedrun strategy in this game because the level desgin is old. Watch speedrun of Halo Reach played by HIM on legendary and you can see he skiped some of the hardest fights. Here you need to fight every enemy so its totaly diferent strategy.
