@@misterundead425 i totally agree with u on that Cody meant after the pipebomb that Triple H was having a hard time playing the villain VS CM Punk when hes the one also feeding him the ideas of lines to say about himself lol which is totally understandable. Though I do also think the Pipebomb still probably was mostly scripted with whats on the table to say n what not but it was CM Punks personal freedom to arrange it how he did n say it in the ways he said it, as it was common for stars good on the mic to say their lines how they want as long as they get the main talking points out thats scripted for them to say.

Cody is a great talker and storyteller. That being said, the more he does interviews, the more love and respect I have for Dustin. Dustin seems alot more content with the man he is instead of chasing for a legacy.

What Cody said is a half truth. HHH was involved in the initial writing of the "pipebomb". However, that is not the version that aired on television. CM Punk worked with HHH as well as the writers to come up with a "acceptable" version of what he wantsd to say so that it could get passed by Vince. What many higher ups didnt know at the time is that CM Punk had a version of his own in which he went into far greater detail and far beyond the boundaries of what the first one allowed. For those who think I am making this up i encourage you to look up CM Punk talking about this exact same thing.

I'm not a Cody hater but I can tell you why. Because Cody was soooo anti wwe, breaking the throne and all that blah blah. Then as he became the most wwe thing about aew people started to dislike him for it, then he wouldn't steer into it and wanted to be a face in a room of people who had distain for him. Punk confirmed that his Pipe Bomb moment was not scripted, he gave a fake script to Vince that would get approved and when he went out, he said what he was actually going to say which if he handed that script to Vince he would have been denied lol. But they had to let Punk talk for awhile, cause if they had him come out just to get cut ff after two sentences of being not what was on the script, the show would feel like the immersion was broken. Audience would be like wtf happened? Why did Punk come out just to have his mic cut after 2 seconds and leave? So Vince had no choice BUT to let Punk free style and go off script for awhile until enough time passed where cutting him off wouldn't wreck the show.

The WWE is never going to admit that something went out of control in their own show. They prefer to tell their audience that it was all completely scripted, otherwise, they'll look stupid and unprofessional for not having full control of their show. A promo was obviously planned, but we all know Punk, he for sure added way more than what was talked about and went very personal. We all loved it. Cody is a WWE worker, don't forget it, he's just saying what they want him to say.

Funny he mentions HHH being worried he wasn't enough of a villain, because I remember everyone hating his guts at that time. Picture this: You've got this guy who drops a promo that everyone's talking about and gets the company attention from media sources that have ignored WWE since 2007. And finally, it's positive attention for once! You then bring HHH in to take the spotlight away from this guy with a COO storyline that went absolutely nowhere, and then the two have a match where HHH wins and nothing happens after that. Maybe it wasn't for the reasons he wanted, but believe me when I say that people were absolutely hating on HHH after that.

It sounds like Cody is talking about the promos after the Pipebomb, Because Punk didn't say anything really personal in the Pipebomb, Especially towards Triple H, Like all he called him was a "Doofus", The later promos were more personal. Also Punk has repeated the exact same story since 2011, That it was planned but it wasn't scripted, Like beforehand they wanted to know what he was going to say or else they wouldn't clear him to go out, But he felt they weren't going to allow him to say some of the things he wanted to say, So he gave them a fake script, And the rest was history.

I mean doesn’t that show triple h ego the fact that he think that highly of himself in the wrestling business agreed that triple “gave” him some lines n let him know to rip into him a little bit but u don’t think was already thinking that by the time the pipebomb? Triple h pretty much gave him free reign n took it n make it personal especially at the end. But obviously all that’s forgotten by now

He obviously comes with flaws but I hate the narrative that because of a scripted promo ten years ago, it rings true today. Roman fans had to wait 4 years for rock vs roman and Cody fans can’t even wait 1 more year? Roman vs rock fans have to get priority here. On top of that i was a roman fan since 2014 and had to wait 6 years for wwe to book him correctly.
