Thank you Cody for reminding me to get off my a$s and get it there, I often feel sorry for myself and don’t make improvements. You’re an inspirational man
It is a little sad that his dream girl is simply someone who can understand what he's going through. Everyone deserves that, and while you think it'd be easy, unfortunately we all know how much that isn't.
@@bluyellow me too. It hard being alone all the time. I'm 32 and haven't been in a serious relationship for 10 years. Pretty pathetic. But I won't settle for anyone. I am pretty fine being by myself, but it does really get depressing at times.
Un hombre guapísimo e inteligente, atrapado en su cuerpo. Es doloroso escucharle decir que está listo para el amor porque nuestra cultura (tan interiorizada) siempre nos empuja a rechazar al diferente.
I developed this skill as well, because I was part of a disabled farmers association as a kid so many of my adult friends were severely injured but I had no problem understanding them. It takes a little time to get the persons speech patterns but it’s a great ability to be able to communicate with those that others may not be able to. I forget most sign language though.
I really like how this channel isn’t afraid to ask questions and is trying to teach people HOW to be more open and accepting with practical information as well as reminding others or everyone’s humanity.
My 3 year old son fell in the pool 23 years ago, I was lucky he didn’t drown as he was quickly pulled out when he rose to the top. He has mild Autism and is gifted. This video is a reminder that we humans are very fragile and we never know if an accident might happen. Cody, you are a living miracle - you are beautiful and God’s gift to others. A big hug to you ❤️
I watched a few videos last week but when he said “thank you for making this platform where people with disabilities can tell stories” how can you not hit the subscribe button?❤️
If I stare to Cody's face while he's talking, I barely get what he says. But if I close my eyes and I focus myself only on his voice, I'm able to understand every single word. Brain is such and incredibile machine, and Cody's will to be understood is mindblowing
Kudos to this man for trying to speak as normally as possible, I think my mouth not doing what I wanted it to would be really frustrating. Then again, he's been doing it for at least a decade and a half. I was telling my six-year-old about this and trying to speak just using my tongue, it was super hard. His enunciation is impeccable, considering.
He adds pauses between each word to make them more understandable, and also give people more time to parse out his sentences. It's impressive. The fact that he's fine with people asking him to repeat himself, which is probably often, kinda makes me feel guilty about being so impatient myself in those situations...
This guy is amazing. Most people wouldn't know that he is trapped in his body. I hope one day they find a way to fix his body not only for him but everyone. There's probably a lot more that can't talk but the brain in working. Real eye opener...
This mean has more determination than most others on this planet. He's a compassionate and wonderful person. I hope you come back to read these and get that feeling of support if and when you need it.
I understood every word. I even closed my eyes so I didn't see subtitles. That takes skill considering how hard it must be bro. You seem like a great dude and some girl out there is gonna be lucky to be your lady.
This guy is so positive. I know that it’s so hard to live with a body that doesn’t work right, but he’s doing so good. He’s staying positive, which is impressive after the first year, and a miracle after a decade or two!
I can’t imagine how frustrating it is to have total awareness and understanding but your body can’t physically keep up with your brain. He is so handsome btw!!!
“a girlfriend” 🥺 i hope he finds someone who thinks he’s beautiful on the inside and out. He seems so kind and willing to do anything he can for his people ❤️❤️
Cody is an amazing man, and a huge inspiration, and a funny guy, too. This might be the greatest clip I have ever seen on RU-vid. People's lives can change in an instant. Never take a second of precious life for granted; ever.
The people on this channel show what the real meaning of unconditional love is!🌹🌹❤❤ You, " The Host Do As Well"!🌹🌹❤❤ I pray for these families & individuals.
I wish he woke up one day fully recovered. At least for a day. I am sure he would live this 1 day the way some of us are not able to live our whole lives.
Cody seems so cool. He’s also quite handsome, I’m surprised he wasn’t already married off by the time this video was made. It’s not often you meet a handsome AND funny guy lol. I hope he finds all he wants in life!
Tell your momma and your pops and your sis and your bro and teachers how you use your time . They will be so proud of you for disrespecting others but I suspect they are the same as you. You clearly are a child . Wow you are amazing 💓
@Niebieski Marcowy Zajonc well said and hope to converse some more with like minded people like you. Shame Mr intellectual can't reply to your comment haha. And would rather comment on mine 😜. Where is the intellect in that . Im laughing at that 🤣🤣🤣🤣
This man is such a gem. Any girl would be so lucky to have such an amazing wholesome man in her life. I can tell he'd treat her right and treat her like a queen.
@peeely 2829 You're wrong. I am beautiful and feminine. But I am seriously studying psychology and I see the behavior of a person when he does something with an open heart and when he is just doing his job and is gaining popularity due to this
this really makes me feel awful for ever complaining about my life. look at him, fighting desperately just to be heard and understood. we take so much for granted and we really have no excuse not to achieve our goals.
Cody is one of the reasons I am grateful to have found this channel. If the work Chris does with these extraordinary people doesn't open your heart, your soul and your mind, nothing will.
Hi Cody! Talk about perseverance! I am glad you were able to be on a large platform and share your story. Our son he has cerebral palsy, and it can be frustrating to him when his body is not cooperating, but he has worked through it, and has taught his father and I some lessons in life. Take care and sending good vibes your way!
Out of curiosity, as he ever tried a communication device? One that can operate by hands, switches or eye gaze. Not for all the time but just for times when someone might have trouble understanding. My young client uses one and is an actual genius but has severe cerebral palsy so can't speak or move. He uses his eyes on his device to speak to people.
Thank you Chris (and Cody) for this, and many other reminders, that every iteration of life is beautiful and worth valuing. With them, I’m able to more truly appreciate how lucky I am for my health and fortune. You’ll find that girl Cody.
I have so much love and respect for people with disabilities. I help them as much as I can!! They are smart and passionate and have so much to give! Listen to them with your heart and you will understand EVERYTHING!!
Breaks my heart, no one should go through these pains, I wish it could all be healed. Such a strong soul to endure so much each day, and still be positive and kind.
Thank you, Cody!! You speak so well-without having the use of your tongue and facial muscles. How amazing you are!!! I love that you prize authenticity, a sense of humor, and grit!! Get off your backside and get out there!! Woo-hoo!! Thank you for saying that!! 💪♥️
I just want to thank you Chris for giving us the opportunity to meet all of these AMAZING PEOPLE!! I have been so blessed by countless stories you've done. Thank you again Chris and please don't stop, there's so many more beautiful people we have yet to meet!!🥰
@@Seraphim190. God always does His work. Disabilities like this are the result of the sin (the breaking of God’s law) in the Earth-it causes a variety of issues (not that this particular man did something to deserve his condition that the rest of us haven’t). God told us in this life we will have issues, and He feels with us. But He’s also promised that if we repent (turn away from) from our lives and believe in Him, He will one day give us new bodies to enjoy in a completely blissful eternity. This is because of the sacrificial death and resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ. God bless you.
@@rw4578 And with all due respect, you're probably letting your observations of "Christians" taint your way of viewing God, rather than learning about/experiencing Him for yourself. Not to say you've absolutely never learned anything about Him...but it's important to read the Bible and hear from solid Christian teachers with preconceptions set aside. David Jeremiah, John Piper, Billy Graham, Jesus is Truth, Living Waters (RU-vid channel names), and Paul Washer are great resources. I understand you probably won't look into it...but cheerios.
I think he's very handsome!! Yes, it might take a bit to get accustomed to his speech and disability, but I know there's a girl out there just right for him. This channel is proof of that. Lets get this man some love!! Any takers ladies?!! 😍
@@logan5804 Bob it sounds like your hurting yourself my friend or have doubts because of some negative experiences? Don't let it make you feel that way. Im sure your a nice dude, and there's plenty of mean people out there but there's someone for everyone
He's so expressive. This man shows you can still live for tomorrow even when today may suck being misunderstood or body fighting for those struggling out there 💕
Chris. I don't know you, but you're the most incredible man I've ever seen. I love you. God loves you. Thank you for loving so damn hard. It doesn't go unnoticed and your mansion in Heaven will be one of the most glorious and beautiful places that ever was. God bless you.
Bro I love your channel, I find myself crying with compassion during your videos. Someone who i would've not understood all of a sudden becomes understandable. Thankyou for the love you share and the encouragement to love people even when it may be complicated
What a great man, and hella nice suit. 👌 I've been recovering from a broken leg and it's been a incredibly humbling experience, I've had some of the worst depression and frustration just temporarily not being able to walk and do my usual things - I cannot imagine the way he feels having a totally able brain and a body that just can't. Anyone know his @?
It such beautiful thing for differently abled people to have a platform to share their voice and experiences ,because so many wise people go unheard and that's a tragedy. Keep on keeping on my man your so strong and wise I got mad respect for you
Upsets me to think of how frustrating it must get for him at times. Clearly a smart and charismatic guy struggling with his body to get it across to everyone. Really brings home the meaning of don't judge a book by its cover. Really take the time to get to know people. There's some really special gems out here.
He is amazing. I would love to meet you. I am so impressed with the work he has done to be able to make so many sounds and to be understood with the limitations he has! So funny and smart. I would love to joke around with this amazing dude.
Love this man I too was Born with Cerebral Palsy it Affects my Balance and I use sticks to walk. I can begin to tell you Chris. How much these videos mean to me. They have been a light in some dark times for me. Please don't stop giving a Platform to People like this. There is such strength in the man's words. The world needs to hear them.
It’s called mirroring. It’s why we sometimes do what others do when we talk with them, or in this case watch them. It’s an unconscious thing we do in an effort to develop rapport with people, as if saying ‘we’re similar, let’s be friends.’ Pretty cool thing we do and don’t even usually realize we’re doing it in the moment. :)
