My favorite part is when he says: "imma go tell daddy what I said right now"

The ‘which answer would you like’ way he communicates with him is low key brilliant. In my experience people with autism can get very upset if you don’t respond they way they expect and that’s a wonderful way to make him happy.

I got to know Dustin and his mom when I worked at a small pharmacy who they did business. I sometimes would go out to the car and speak to him. Once Dustin knew your name he never forgets it. He is a true blessing to anyone who meets him!!!

These segments on autism really touch my heart. I am a mother of four, three of them have autism. Some days it gets really hard. To see all the positivness radiating through these families gives me hope.💚

Love how Chris asks him if he wants the answer to be yes or no for the stuff about lightning and trees, that’s very considerate :) I hope Dustin won’t be in danger from the police, like the mom said around 7:40 ALSO: I literally watched Jurassic park tonight with my family, what a coincidence :0 I love dinosaurs too!

I also have an autistic son and it's amazing how much of a spectrum it is and how it varies so much from person to person.

5:27 When chris asked "Are we friends now?" Dustin said "Oh yeah" 😆 loved that ❤ Hes so full of life. These parents have so much strength. I cant imagine how difficult it gets at times. Especially the parents that have to take care of their kids for the rest of their life. My preacher has a kid that has autism more severe then dustin and he is 37 now and they are still taking full time care of him. These parents are some of the most strongest and amazing on earth.

I'm on my sister's account rn but I'm autistic. And I'm proud. People seem to think it's a bad thing but many good qualities come with it. I just hope by watching these videos, people come to know about us more and who we are.

My nephew is autistic, and we love him for it. He’s a super funny kid too. Growing up and maturing. He’s a great, brutally honest kid 🤣 appreciate him for that too haha.

My whole family is in love with this family. I personally have watched this interview probably 7 times. 😆 Dustin is A COMPLETE JOY. My absolute favorite person on Earth!! And his parents are just my favorite too!!! You can see what a special bond they all have. And the sense of humor in this family is not lost on us! Please update us if you ever can, Chris!

I understand him fine. I also understand his thought process and that he is telling a lot of jokes to make people laugh. I'd get along with him great.

I love that the parents don't continuously tell him to calm down or stop when they are talking and he's talking. They just let him try but keep the conversation going and you can see him over time realize that people are talking to each other so I should sit up and listen right now. He's a smart nice guy with great parents.

Always I'm crying for my sadly life but, today is different day, I don't know why or how I came to this RU-vid channel and started watching these videos, I realize that despite all my mental illnesses, there are people who are younger and sicker than me and remain positive and smiling at life. I would like to feel as positive and happy as I was before, I think these videos are going to help me a lot to change my attitude towards life, my negative thoughts but above all, to value myself and others. When he asked for a hug was the most amazing thing, my daughter has autism, it took a very long time, and countless hours of ABA, before she became comfortable enough with touch sensations to be able to give us hugs. That part really struck a chord.

I must have watched most of the videos on this channel over the last few months, they're just so heartwarming and important. I've begun to notice these interviews have taught me a lot about how to speak confidently and respectfully with anyone at all, and how to really listen to them in return. love this channel, hope I come across more folks putting this kind of energy into the world in the future.
