used to play varsity in high school and i honestly miss it so much. going to uni for a very homework intensive degree is good but i miss spending my evenings on the field 🥺
Don't know what dirt you all play on but here in idaho if you slide you are absolutely guaranteed to bleed... I've walked on asphalt softer than our fields we've been playing on!!
It speeds up the game when they don’t take the slow trot around the bases. Some leagues allow 12 home runs a team, so you’re getting pinched on your playtime allowing the home run trot. Not stupid, smart.
I know that I played. Takes about 10 to 15 seconds to round the bases unless ur a big fat guy that can't run. As far as saving time. By the time the ump gets a new ball and everyone stops high fiving. 15 to 20 seconds. Same amount of time. If u played at an elite level. Like I did u would know
@@dougsimmons2344 It's the same reason why the count starts 1 and 1. In most rec leagues games are 1 hour long. Time is used efficienty to give players the opportunity to hit as many times as possible during a game. Hitting a home run in slow pitch softball is very common and hr trot gets very old very fast.
