In all fairness many get off the bench in an attempt to help diffuse the violence or calm their teammates down

I've seen like 20 benches cleared situations watching these Majors teams . Not one turned into bench clearing brawl or even a benches clear 2 guys fight lol. They ain't never gonna do sh**. Which is probably a good thing since most of them are 6'1-6'4 and 75% look like they're on some sort of PED's. Somebody would get hurt for sure if one of their wild overhand rights landed. You know it'd be nothing but wild overhand rights lol

Even hitting the ball in slow pitch takes some skill even though the ball is coming in at an arc you can misjudge your swing and end up swinging to high or low

Absolutely I play for a men's league them 52/300 balls be coming like a bullet

I played third in my 20s-40s. Once they switched to double wall bats and cheater bats I started seeing more injuries.

I never understood why pitchers in baseball or softball get mad when a ball comes back at them. You guys are just another fielder right when you let go of the ball. Alot of guys take it fine, but there's some that are absolute baby's.

@@MP-km9ib 100% I played in a tournament this past weekend where faking was allowed. Most annoying thing I've ever seen while trying to hit. And it was always the guys who never threw strikes that did it too.

It’s silly that the bats are so juiced now. It’s completely tarnished the art of hitting home runs.

I remember using a 36 oz bat because that is what was needed to hit them over the 300' fence's.

1st base is not easy at all. Especially if you're not used to having to scoop and find your foot on the bag

Theirs no way he shouldn't be making those plays at first base at this level ( every throw Is a perfect throw unless its outta yr reach infielders have seconds to get that ball out bcaz of the close bases

Looks like they playing 80 foot! We normally play 70 and last weekend one field out of 3 they had them at 60 foot...no groundball outs where made! Players stopped even making the throw!

It's a turf field. This is the easiest field to make plays on. There's no bad hops or anything. He has bad form on his picks and some of them were bad throws by his teammates.@@jonathanmelsha9214

Agreed…the ball comes back so f’n fast it doesn’t take much to miss it and the damage it can cause can literally be fatal. Either an out or a single is fine with me if it hits the fence. I pitched for 15 years in slow pitch and I’ve had my share of comebacks that caused some serious pain. Guys like the guy who commented that you should be athletic enough to field the ball or avoid it don’t know shit. That’s like saying MLB pitchers who get hit with line drives aren’t athletic enough and they’re elite

These are the best softball players in the country and the home runs have a limit so it is far from home run derby. The teams in this video are made up of players from 10 different states.

Not really an announcer sitting in a booth with a headset. I am more of a guy holding a camera on the field near the players so its more like golf where you can’t be loud.

Agreed. Play baseball. Softball was made to be a more relaxed form of baseball. These juiceheads think they’re so hardcore cuz they can crush a slow pitched softball. I’m sure the team divorce rate is through the roof.

You probably want to search usssa.com slowpitch for tournaments in your area and go out and talk to some of the teams at the tournament and see if you could come out to one of their practices. Also find a local league to play in.

Pitchers are incredibly important in Conference tournaments.

Softball home runs are hit and sit, been that way for 20 years.

Correct, two different games but these guys all played varying levels of baseball.

Actually hitting strikes in the top levels of slowpitch is just as important as hitting strikes in baseball. Slowness of the pitch has nothing to do with getting an optimum on base percentage.

@@sw48 all im saying is there's no use in yelling at an umpire ever.... but especially not in this sport. I play slopitch and because the pitch is slow it dosent matter if its an inch off the plate or not because i usually set my body to send it in which direction i want anyways... being an inch off the plate dosent stop the players from hitting it... a lot different then baseball

@@eastcoastgaming4310 I kinda agree with this. I’ve always said to extend the strike zone an inch. But then again every inch counts right? 🤷🏽‍♂️🤣🤣. A good umpire will call a strike if a quarter of the ball is within the strike zone.
