There is a reason Ben Franklin is on the 100 dollar bill. He had tremendous social and political skills. He wrote about a phenomenon related to favours and likability. We discuss this cognitive bias here.

Ben Franklin was a very wise and special man. He was an enlightened person with knowledge of the universal mind but also used his personality and efforts to make this a better world himself. One of my favorite contributions Ben Franklin made to mankind was the concept of "PAY IT FORWARD". Doing something nice or helpful for someone in need and not expecting repayment for the kindness. Instead asking they in turn do something nice for someone else without expectations of repayment. When you do this you start a wave of good will than can last for many years as people continually pay it forward.

From my experience this doesn't rlly work lol 😅😅 it depends a lot, plenty of people will just get annoyed with you, or feel forced to do the thing just coz you asked as a "favor", etc etc Doesn't work on everybody, only on people who kinda like already have some percentage of basic/general acceptance of you
