Silvia Cafora is an architect and researcher at the Department of Architecture and Design of the Politecnico di Torino, FULL, Future Urban Legacy Lab. She conducts research mainly in community-led housing practices and territorial fragilities, focusing on community and regenerative practices of access to housing stock. Studies undivided ownership housing cooperatives in Italy, working alongside Legacoop in proposing a new National Housing Plan. Scientific advisor for Fondazione GianGiacomo Feltrinelli and the Fondazione di Comunità di Porta Palazzo in Turin, promoting new accessible and inclusive housing models in Italy. Editor and author of the book “Abitare Pioniere. Democratic Innovation and New Economic Paradigms in Response to Financialization” and the book “Alternative Housing, Models in Action. Collaborative, Accessible and Inclusive Housing in Europe” for Feltrinelli.
