It's just amazing how much Claudio's voice has improved over the past decade and a half. Hitting those high notes cannot be easy, not to mention those fucking chilling screams during The End Complete. Coheed has been my number one band since 2008 when I was 14, I've literally grown up with them, and seeing how far they've come... it's just incredible. Still haven't had a chance to see them live, but it will happen one day. And it will be glorious. Thank you guys for the music, the story... you got me through high school, college... the highest and the lowest points of my life. Just thank you for the magic you've brought into so many lives.
saw them live for the first time this past October in Baltimore. Worth every cent and the 6 hour drive to get there, just an incredible experience. When you see them live it will be glorious indeed
Hey man funny to read your comment. I discovered the band the same year and at the same age as you. What a great time it was discovering those 4 incredible first records. As a teenager everything u feel is stronger and their music was so powerful and emotional to me. It gave me the feeling I could take over the world. I first saw them in Paris in 2012 and met the band during a meet and greet. One of my strongest memories. It was surreal. Saw them again in 2015. Since then I've moved forward in my musical journey and discovered so many other great artists that has stolen the first place in my heart. But coheed is still here in the background and I go back to them very often. They were the beginning of it all. Not a big of their last 2 records though. Hope the next one will change my mind.
seeing Coheed live is a experience that i can say at times can be in par with some of the best i have ever been to i would say 100% would recomend it please dont miss them if Coheed comes near your town it's worth the money and time!
@@brianhuisman3770 he makes a sub bass screech turn into the ostantine priest attack live right after a tasty bass solo. Meanwhile josh just holds down all the forms of the groove flawlessly. I love how they seem to play this song however the hell they want to live
I was thinking same thing Claudio is a buddy of mine in real life. But this sounded like a cluster. Welcome home sounded fantastic because of playing mainly.
Y'know, I've never figured out how Claudio can play that first solo of his in Welcome Home so well with that thirteen-pound brick of a guitar on top of his head. Unbelievable.
The energy in this set is unREAL! Particularly during NOFT, everyone is just BRINGING IT!! Guess thats what happens when you don’t play a show after 2 years lol
Long live Coheed. Talent respect talent. So many bands get shittier as they age. This sounds like some remastered version with overdubs. It sounds better than the albums, and they sound good!
I saw them in Worcester, MA amazing!!! I was thinking about streaming this but somehow I knew it would end up on RU-vid, probably get taken down soon…sadly
48:16 I love how Josh plays this tune. The open style unmatched hands & feet style is so visually appealing to me. I love seeing other drummers who play how they feel comfortable, not how they're told to play.
Josh is easily my favorite drummer. I always felt there was something especially musical about his style. He does these odd signature snare hits that I just LOVE
Playing how youre comfortable is one thing, but not even hitting half way to your skill ceiling when playing literally any of the songs you didn't help write is getting old at this point. He doesn't even try. Dude has some of the slickest single pedal skills I've ever seen and every time he plays a NWFT (or god forbid a YOTBR) tune he just acts like it's his first year playing drums. I truly hope they don't even attempt a YOTBR Neverender bc it'll just be him playing everything half tempo and doing ghost notes instead of just playing a fill lmao.
@@waveemann8857 so wrong. are you even a drummer? josh plays juggernaut perfectly, he plays no world like a beast and song was litteraly written to have his style, smh saying he dont try is so ignorant
@@waveemann8857 dudes a right handed drummer playing open handed on a righty kit.. you know how hard it is to hit those high hat notes with your non dominate hand? ridiculous
Josh adding a little flare to Shoulders and it sounds so good. Eppard is the backbone of coheed in My opinion. As great a drummer as pennie was and is he just did not have the sound Claudio wanted. I personally love his work with dillinger but I felt he played every coheed song either too fast or just his own way and it just wasn't the same untill Josh and Zach came in then they got back to elite status
Does anyone know why Claudio doesn't play guitar during Unheavenley Creatures? I can't imagine it's because he can't play it and sing at the same time considering some the other stuff he does that with.
I think its mostly just that he doesnt really need to, most of the vaxis songs so far have been pretty loud and the rhythms that intertwine are few and far between for the most part.
The final cut nearly sent me into labor that day. I had to sit in the arena and breathe through contractions 😂 thank you for a mind blowing performance as always.
I 😍 This! It feels like a return to the original coheed format, before ‘No world for tomorrow,’ when the albums started to become more overly produced yknow? Just a tight 3 piece band and Claudio. 😈
On the other hand, i think the sound mixer should pull the high down a hair, and lose the reverb on the vocals... and try not to belt it so hard dear Claudio, i wish goddamnit, youll make it if you believe 😏😉
@@RelaxingandPeacefulMusic317 ya ok lets mosh and crowd surf over seats lmao. audio is like 100 percent focused on the instruments and mics on stage not crowd. i bet if you were there it would of sounded louder
@@donny.sawtell6854 I wouldn’t disagree the sound was amazing. But look at the crowd. No one is getting hyped and they barely look like they’re having a good time.
I was at this show… I wish the sound was this clear in person. Idk if it was the venue or what but you could barely hear/understand Claudio. It honestly just sounded like a bunch of noise. I was disappointed tbh but this video is great! 😅 just wish it sounded like this live
My boyfriend and I were here and then headed off to the SS Neverender cruise!! Unreal how nice they all are. My boyfriend has been a fan since he was 12. It’s amazing to be next to him when he’s raging to them.
Broheed...be grateful. This was supposed to be a performance only available once, when aired live. Me and several others paid +$20 to partake in this experience. Hopefully you were one of them. Enjoy what is there and jog on.
A glitch from youtube's upload process. The original file is clean but each time I reupload it has that same error in the same place. Message me if you want a link to the original file without the audio problem.
That whole amphitheater is all seats. The pits are happening behind all that on some grassy slopes you cant see in the video. Not the greatest venue for people to go nuts at
