If you've watched him for over a decade, you know he never has been able to, not really enjoying it anyways. I'm more so disappointed he'd dangle a crunchy crpg run before us and then promptly goes back to other games.
For people wondering what happened - this was the community's reward for raising money for charity (despite the fact he promised to do an evil run a couple of years ago) - From what I hear if we complete a goal on the next fundraiser we get another hour of character creation. Lucky Lucky :-)
i have been waiting years for an evil playthrough . guess we were baited again! i would love to watch someone entertaining do an evil run, everyone decent just post good alignment runs!
Previous Lich attempt went to right direction - Cruomancer + Eldrich Knight would have been strong melee/gish and Lich is actually a melee path. Demon on the other hand is considered strong magic class because it can do most spells per turn and bring spell DC-s much higher than any class . Cohh just ask some help from your friend from Owlcat like You did before and prepare character offscreen
Eh I don't want to though! The point of this run is raw fun over power. I'm spending some time making sure the direction is good but then I just want to let the arrow fly!
The weapon grip thing was in Kingmaker, but they removed it in WotR, now they have added it back, and given the player more control since it can affect many feats being usable or not So basically versatile weapons (like in BG3) which you can choose to use either one-handed (leaving offhand free, qualifying for fencer type talents) or two-handed (getting more damage and qualifying for two-handed weapon talents)
Rowdy is insanely powerful class, especially if you combine it with a class that can make sure you 100% hit your next hit (like magus) Also Loremaster, since you can skip right to the greater vital strike (4x) with it What vital strike is also amazing for, is that it is a full attack worth of damage on a standard attack, so you can move and hit with it in the same round. There is also a double hit crossbow that allows you to make two vital strike hits at once Since vital strike doesn't use move action, you can use it amazingly well with hexes like evil eye, since you can use the move action for the chant that refreshes all your debuffs to run endlessly, even if the enemy saved against them I often use Camellia as a Rowdy, Hexer, loremaster who starts with Evil Eye debuff and moves to chant range, then next round uses greater vital strike with quickened true strike (from loremaster) with the double shooting crossbow and chants to keep the -4 AC debuff running
The re-rolls are hard to watch... not going to lie. I have beaten wotr on every mythic path and what you expressed when rolling Lich was what I agree with... just start with what mythic/end path you want and work backwards. I would recommend finding a basic guide to pair up a starting class with that ending. On normal difficulty every one of them has something viable... it is just painful to watch the start so many times as you find that be feeling around blindly.
FWIW I've done Lich twice... lots of fun. A magic lich (for +10 casting levels) has appeal... but I played it again as a melee focused build after noticing how many of the mythic options worked for melee, with cool stat drains etc.
Yeah, constant re-rolling is a trap that I walked into lots of times as well. Something awesome in the game happens and you just want to do that. Like seeing Anevia's sneak damage. Or reaching level 5 and thinking 'if I was a martial I'd get my 2nd attack right now.' Or reaching the mythic selection seeing that if you'd be a caster you would now get to merge spell books. And suddenly I played 70 hours of the game but still fiddle around in act 1 with my 6th character. That's why I really like the roguelite mode added with Treasures of the Midnight Isles. You get to make 5 different custom characters and can try out all these obscure subclasses without feeling like you're nailed down on that one particular choice for the next 140 hours.
He is a soft as all hell family man. He basically is incapable of doing bad guy games or playthroughs. But don't worry, someone from his community is always ready to give a 'he's just too busy' excuse for him whenever asked about this run. Meanwhile Cohh plays older games for 10th time.. lol
Could someone please correct me if I'm wrong. But doesn't cohh Have voice lines about his cat in this game? Everytime he gets a crit right? On a rogue that will happen often. If I'm not wrong, I hope he changes his voice to another voice type. I don't want him getting sad every time he lands a critical. I'm worried it might ruin his playthrough
You can make quite the melee powerhouse from sorcerer, with some aggressive multiclassing. With them being based on CHA persuasion is easy. Casters also make for the best tanks after the start imho, being able to stack some nice bonuses. Playing hard-unfair I got really used to building melee unhittable crit-immune. Though I think they have patched out some of bonus stacking. Trickster is not evil, they are true chaotic. And remember, there is also the path of the Devil, though that requires going through Aeon or Azata for much of the game. Devil path was lacking for the longest time, but received an update recently. Also, lich doesn't need to be a caster. Just like angel you will always get the spellbook; you just get more out of that if you can combine spellbooks and get some spell feats. But you can do non-caster quite well, it has good non-spell-related upgrades, and lich spells are good even with zero investment and the buffs op with just the duration powers. Especially on normal you can do ANYTHING. Just pick any combo you like and to hell with the naysayers.
How does Eldritch Knight do for lich? I never moved past act 3, but tested by creating level 20 chars in the dlc. Encountered a bug with spell critical not triggering though.
Episode 36. Cohh has finally found his Lich Character. episode 98 Cohh Decided he wants to try to Swarm mythical path. Episode 125 he decides he wants to go with the devil path episode 200 he re rolls goes fully evil and burns everyone to the ground . And yup ill watch them all
Rerolling 10 times in the first hour is much better than playing 200 episodes with a character you are not enjoying and excited about Also, you can use the 'ENTER' key to skip most cutscenes and scripted events
for a more positive look, cohh made more progress in this last stream then the last.... who knows maybe in 20 hours he will actually finish the tutorial dungeon so i'm looking forward to it

There's something very 4th wall about playing these games as an evil character. Everybody is so righteous and do goodie 2 shoes. And Cohh is on the outside manipulating These rote companions to their doom for his glory.
