Duuuude I think Indiana Jones is now my most anticipated game of the year so far!

Big fan of 4x games and I gotta say ARA is the most good looking game and promising mechanics after the flop of Humankind.

i love pillars of eternity, and eora. One thing they have nailed is the art style, just looking at it quickly it looks very poe and thats great. I saw it had combat skills right out of pillars as well, so i hope they stick with that idea. Graphics much improved, they look pretty solid now. I agree that voice acting needs some work, but poe 2 had great voice acting, so i dont see how it would change too much from that quality. As for wands, i mean you could duel wield wands in poe and it really did look like pew pew as well lol. They just need to do a deep dive with gameplay, show the ui, menu systems, how companions work, gear , spells ext. oh and indiana looks great, machinegames are like the best devs at bethesda right now lol

Indian Jones: The Great Circle feels authentic paying homage to the originals and only good Indy movies (Lost Ark ,Temple of Doom, Last Crusade) compared to Geriatric Jones of the latest films. Dev's pursuing a timeline between the OG movies is a +1. Gameplay looked great, fluid, and was the best in the entire showcase.

The guys voice you didn't like was Tinker Tom from Fallout 4.

As a strategy gamer let me tell you what I think every time I see Ara...YES. YES. CIV mixed with city skylines and Tropico. (orgasms over screen). ...Shit I am going to have to massively update my PC...or get an Xbox aren't I?

I'm looking forward to Avowed You can't really tell enough to from what has been shown to date to make a firm judgement either way.

I gotta be honest, Avowed is not coming together the way I was hoping. Combat felt really wonky. Guns, wands, sword and board, spellcasting werent meshing together. The voice acting is a bit off putting as well. Lots of mismatched voices. I dont take pleasure in typing this opinion. I hope it cleans up reall well. I dont like when any Dev or Publisher has a failure, it means loss of potential jobs. As for the Indy game, its Machine games...they made the new Wolfenstein games. Theres a great chance it will be good. This isnt Bethesda...its MACHINE GAMES and thats why you play it.

Not sold on Avowed. Not interested in Hellblade 2. Indiana Jones is the only game that caught my eye and interest.

Being able to do everything on one character in an RPG is stupid. There is no power-trade off. I think Avowed is making a big mistake.

i love everything from the Indiana Jones game except the npc that had his shotgun locked onto Indy but just stood there and kindly waited for you to take out the other npc and turn and aim at him and use the whip.

Avowed looks like a VR game. It's just kinda odd. I hope Ara does well, its a tough space to break into. Hoping the new Mana game is good, they need a win.

The first person action rpg genre is just all the same to me. Clunky looking combat. The fact like we haven’t gotten past being the point of view of a square box with an arm attached to each side awkwardly swinging things is beyond me. Idk about you but when I stand up I can see almost my entire body in my peripheral vision lol. Fps games are the only ones that do better jobs of capturing the truest PoV

...I don't get why you make fun about Indy going to look like Starfield...it's not Bethesda and the Creation Engine, it's MachineGames and idTech

Hellblade 2 looking amazing! Visions of Mana looking amazing! Ara looking amazing but I don't know if I can do those types of games anymore. Avowed and Indiana Jones both looking meh for me. Decent lineup!

Still wonder if Indiana sells with a lot of nostalgika - bc when you dont have any bonds to the franchise it looks more average

Was really looking forward to Avowed. After this, I can't really say I am anymore. Feels like a game from the past generation. Voice acting is out of place like you said, and the combat just seems pretty lacking. Visually it looks fine but this reveal seemed very... basic

The complaining about Avowed's combat is very strange - just what first person RPG's are you all playing that do more than that? You can get SOME of it if you mod the hell out of Skyrim, of course, but not all of it (not really).

Avowed looks like good game. Just good. Once again, Helblade showed us walking, and cinematic sequences, and unclear combat scenes. Apparently its also 8 hours long, and digital only. 8 years of dev time. Idk man.

The only game I'll be purchasing from this showcase is "Indiana Jones and the Great Circle". The rest of the games look unfinished, unpolished with poor game mechanics, mediocre grap[gics, mediocre voice acting and bland & boring overall. 1 out of 5 games or 20% is my average, when it comes to purchasing games throught the year, so yeah, it's par for the course for me.

Avowed - will wait for reviews, unsure about it. Ara - looked really cool. Some weeb game... Yeh.. Hellblade 2 - amazing. Wolfenstein Jones - amazing.

If the games were actually on discs I would buy them. I mean they are on ps5 but hey I guess that's why I have over 40 ps5 games on my shelf and ONLY 2 xbox games.

The fact xbox is still around amazes me. They been creating crap for 2 decades. They need to straight up buy games being made on other devices other than theirs just to get any content on their devices and services. Sony owns over 70% of the entire console market. Steam owns majority distrubution of games sold on pc, with epic games just buying exclusivity out right. Xbox and microsoft is bottom of the barrel. At least nintendo sells their products even if their devices are weak. You cant even be excited for a game announcement on xbox because more than 50% get canceled before release. You cant have good competition if you don't even try.

The big problem with Xbox and many of the developers and those games and the reason WHY many gamers want the Sony PlayStation and its games over the Xbox, 3 to 1, 4 to 1 is that there is a lot less originality with Xbox games over the PS5. It's so bad for Xbox that they have had to buy there way into the living rooms of gamers. That's what the recent 70+ billion dollar purchase of Blizzard and Activision was, to solely create a barrier to entry for Sony. This still doesn't make Xbox any better. They will still continue to sell less units and fewer games. I will never own an Xbox, ever, and many gamers fill the same way. The Xbox has always done poorly against the PS2, PS3, PS4 and PS5, and it's these games here of why this keeps happening over and over again. It's also a gender issue as well. Many women just do not play video games compared to men. Most developers outside the USA have far less female employees, level design, art design, sound design, etc. Nothing against women, but if fewer women play video games, I do not want them in those roles. Why would I? So what ends up happening is you have a lot more women with no interest in games, making more decisions within these games and it hurts the Xbox and those games over-all. There is much less of this with the PlayStation and game studios outside the US.
