Colbie Caillat's songs are perfect to listen when you're alone right next to a window pane, coffee, comfortable in your ugly cartoonish sweater and reminiscing the good times.
If only Colbie Caillat has the same career path like Taylor. I've been a fan of Colbie for years and she really deserves more recognition in the music industry. Her songs are well thought and really connects to every listeners heart. I've never been so much crazy in any artist but damn, Colbie is talented AND SHE DESERVES BETTER. I love you and I will watch your live concert soon ( My greatest wish before I die.)
Haha 17 yr old me played this for my bf and we sang together and giggled , fast forward 10 years and he’s my hubby now off to work and I’m sitting here in our bed with our 4 year old daughter thinking how blessed we are to still have the love we have 💓😭
Young me did not appreciate the beauty in the message of this song until right now in this moment when I have fell in love with someone and want so badly for him to feel the same.
This song bring back memories of the guy who’ve I fallen for but couldn’t reciprocate the same for me. I think I cried for months. It still hits the same way.
In Cincinnati, USA, where I came to work as a student in 2008, this song was played on Kiss 107 radio every morning when I was on the shuttle bus. Even though I couldn't quite understand his words at the time, it had a magic tone and I loved this song. I used to listen to this song on the radio at least 3 or 4 times when I was working at Kings Island Amusement Park. Even after returning to my country, my supervisors thought of me emotionally when this song played. This song is among my unforgettable memories of the USA. Thank you ❤Colbie Caillat.❤
Take time to realize That your warmth is Crashing down on me Take time to realize That I am on your side Didn't I, didn't I tell you? But I can't spell it out for you No, it's never gonna be that simple No, I can't spell it out for you If you just realize what I just realized Then we'd be perfect for each other and we'd never find another Just realize what I just realized We'd never have to wonder if we missed out on each other, now Take time to realize Oh, oh, I'm on your side Didn't I, didn't I tell you? Take time to realize This all could pass you by Didn't I tell you? But I can't spell it out for you No, it's never gonna be that simple No, I can't spell it out for you If you just realize what I just realized Then we'd be perfect for each other and we'll never find another Just realize what I just realized We'd never have to wonder if we missed out on each other, but It's not the same No, it's never the same If you don't feel it, too If you meet me half way If you would meet me half way It could be the same for you If you just realize what I just realized Then we'd be perfect for each other and we'll never find another Just realize what I just realized We'd never have to wonder Just realize what I just realized If you just realize what I just realized Missed out on each other now Missed out on each other now Realize, realize, realize, realize
Nostalgia. This song would always play on the radio when I was a child and this would give me warmth coz the rhythm is so beautiful. Song full of childhood memories.
It might have over 30 million views on RU-vid but believe me this song was all over the radio during 2009-2010. It feels like every kid in my school knows her songs; Bubble and Fallin' For You as well. So I guess you just can't judge the success of a song based on its RU-vid views.
I remember when I was 4th grader, at that time this song was so popular. The radio would often play this song every afternoon and we will all feel dreamy and hazy. My friends and I would sing this song every after class even though we don't actually understand the meaning of the song. I miss those days. :( :( I live in Philippines btw.
Same... Those hot dreamy summer afternoons where my friends and I just rely listening to the recorded audio of this song from the radio coz internet wasn't that trend before.
My wife put me on this, she’s the best and she’s always singing this song to me and I like joining her when she does. homies can’t know I listen to this but it’s a really good song. 😭
She’s got such control over her Vibrato. Most people can’t do a slow vibrato, but hers is so wonderful. Also this song brings back a fondness for my youth.
Back in 2008 when I was pregnant with my son, his father used to sing this song to me all the time. And now we're broken up. But I realized that he's not even worth it. I thank him for this beautiful boy that he gave me though and it's not me and my son's loss that he left. It's his.
I really like her music and style. A beautiful voice that should be much more acclaimed in the music industry. She doesn't need to wear half naked clothes and jump around on stage. A mature soul of an entertainer.
I haven't seen my mom since I was 9 years old. This song reminds me so much of her because it used to play on the radio all the time when she was still around.
Never felt this song until I met my fiance 9 years ago. We went to the Florida Keys on our first "vacation". She made a playlist and this was on it. Loved it since. Just like I love her.
Even now in 2024, I remember the first time I listened to this song life’s was challenging but this kind of music brought me hope and happiness. It’s amazing how songs can keep us going, no matter where we are in the world.
Other than Bubbly this is my favorite Colbie Caillat song. The ending part is my favorite. The guitar fits so well with that scene at the end. Seriously Colbie is so underrated!

2008 : ( 12 years old self) Turns on TV and wait for this Music Video in MTV to complete my day. 2019 : (23 years old self) *still listening to this song after all these years, still my all time favorite*
Was MTV still a music video station in 2008? I was 10 so I was probably a bit too young for that. I know that it was huge in the 80s and 90s, but I didn’t realize it was still showing videos that late into the 2000s.
This song takes me back to my college days. I used listen to this CD while riding to and from school and while studying. Brings back a lot of good memories 📚💿
I was a freshman in high school, my older sister had just graduated the year before and owned this cd. This was her favorite song on the album, every time I hear it I'm right back riding in her first car with her or sitting in our grandmothers house listening to it on an old cd player. Music is the closest thing to a time machine for sure.
I've loved Colbie from the beginning until now...no one can ever imitate her voice...nl one can just sing like her, so soulful, refreshing...so calm...no bad words, no sex, just good to hear...love u Colbie!
Realizing we'll never be this young again, it feels like yesterday this was just released on a radio and I'm listening to it because of my sister's cd- composed of pure nostalgic songs.
This is a love song, but do you know why this song reminds most of our childhood? Because this was released in the time where whenever we got hurt, one candy could make us better. Goodbyes only meant, “I’m gonna be back in the afternoon after work.”. 90’s kids both experienced both sides of the world.
This album was my soundtrack during R&R from Iraq in April of 2007. Had this playing while driving up and down the coast of southern California for two weeks. Great memories.
Me being 6 years old at the mall with my mom shopping at Shopko and Jo Ann Fabrics and this playing in the background now I’m 20 and a truck driver still listening to this masterpiece while on the road🤘🏻🔥🤪
2020 and I’m here listening. Back then when my boyfriend and I were still friends, I didn’t realize what he means by meeting him half way. Came across this song and I finally realized. I heard this song since I was a kid, never really listen to the details.❤️❤️❤️
Ah, that initial stage of falling in love with someone when you think the feelings are reciprocated but you're not 100% sure but everything is so sweet between the two of you.
oh 18 year old me, working at Mcdonalds while juggling studies. Those years have shaped me into becoming the best version of myself. And this song was part of that journey!
