The BTS and Coldplay relationship is really special, definitely worth watching the documentary video to get the feelings involved. Listening to Chris Martin talk about BTS is really adorable, he told Ellen that when they hang out he and the Coldplay guys look like their gym teachers 😂

The behind the scenes of this song is really heartwarming. Chris Martin flew out to Korea to meet BTS (during COVID). Their interactions were charming.

I’m not the biggest Coldplay fan either so this has never been a huge hit for me. BUT I will say, MAD respect to Coldplay for the way they worked with BTS. They traveled to Korea, met them, talked to them, worked with them, and Chris Marten became friends with Jin. I think it’s a bad habit for Western Artists to treat kpop groups like props, but Coldplay really treated them like the artists they are.

Jin is back he hugged 1000 ARMYs and also gave them multiple gifts😭💜

This song is so iconic u guys, another of their Billboard Hot 100 #1 hits. And this was during covid too Chris Martin himself travelled to South Korea when BTS said they would like to collab. All 3 rappers contributed in songwriting.

Watching the documentary will definitely make you appreciate this song way more. Also Jin is baaack! You should check out his military discharge the members went to get him and it was so wholesome.

I believe Jin loved Coldplay's song Fix You which he played and the other members began to like also. They covered Fix You on BBC and had gotten the consent from Coldplay who rarely allows others to cover their songs. After Chris, the lead singer, heard that someone suggested that they do a collab, he thought how? He wrote this song and contacted BTS, and the Universe and Silencers was part of Coldplay's universe and storyline. Chris gave Jin a guitar, and he also wrote the collab song the Astronaut for Jin.

I will admit I wasn’t a Coldplay fan either before this collaboration. Not that they weren’t a great band, I only knew their big radio hits. But I love this song and the documentary of it coming together is one of my favorites to watch. It encapsulates the whole idea that we can all come together thru music, regardless of language, country, culture or anything else that separates us. Chris was truly impressed with BTS and I read that Colplay doesn’t endorse/allow many covers of their songs but they let BTS cover Fix You. (Amazing, by the way…) They all became fast friends. The one true crime is that Chris wanted the music at the end for a dance break and I think the video could have shown more of the guys and especially Hobi with his awesome freestyle. 14:19 so bts did some tv performances, and one of them was a cover of the coldplay song "fix you" and coldplay shared the video on their twitter and caption it "beautiful" in korean, which was pretty cool. I think that was their first interaction, but the documentary on this song is so worth watching and goes into more detail on how this specific project came to be.

Coldplay’s interaction and relationship with BTS made me their fan as people. Chris has done nothing but show the utmost love and respect for BTS as people, as artists, and as music icons - both in person and in numerous interviews ever since. He said that he thinks it’s great that this boy band from Korea is not the biggest band in the world (I’m paraphrasing). Mad props to their whole band. No shade allowed when it comes to them, in my book.

The MV is a symbolism of different worlds meeting. Different cultures in harmony. The third band is alien. 💜

My best friend and I bought tickets to see Coldplay in Seattle. She has to bow out okay minute due to a death in the family. I took an another friend who wanted to understand why people like Coldplay. She was judging. I made her watch this video, the documentary, and the two The Astronaut videos before we went. Halfway through the concert she said "Shit. I'm going to go buy a shirt" and now she stans them. They are the kindest most charismatic band. Chris is also singing Korean and sings every Korean part in concert. This is a mashup of talented kind souls all around.

This was their first collab... which makes Jin reaching out to Coldplay for a song before his enlistment, resulting inThe Astronaut... all the more touching! Highly recomment the vid of Chris Martin introducing Jin for his live performance at their Argentina concert. Now that Jin has returned from the military... all the sweeter to watch!

not sure if anyone mentioned but this is actually a track on Coldplay's Music of the Spheres album. They have been touring and have included the members holos on screens singing with the band during the set. It's been pretty cool to see.

I know you aren't Coldplay fans but the video is worth watching. The BTS members were fan boying over Chris. They were so nervous and honored to meet and work with him. It was sweet, just like the guys always are. I'm not a huge Coldplay fan, but I am a huge fan of Chris Martin, he has the same wonderful qualities that BTS has, and Chris has become a great friend to the boys, as others have already said, but yes more BTS is always better. Watch the documentary it tells you how it came about, basically someone told Chris he should do a collab with them, he didn't think it would work, but he wrote these lyrics one day and next he's flying to Korea during the pandemic to do this song with BTS, he even learned to speak Korean a little and I think he has sung J-hope and/or Suga's part once in concert or part of it not 100% sure, but the interactions between them are so heartwarming, also Jin's solo song Astronaut was written by Chris for Jin, he wanted a song to give ARMY's before he entered military and Chris wrote it for him and had him fly to one of Coldplays concerts to perform the song live in Argentina, that too was so cute to see how Jin ran up the stage with his arms wide open and met Chris Martin who had his arms wide open as well and gave each other a huge hug So I've been missing your Sat night chats or either you haven't had them💜 miss ya
