It was an evening of the last August; that day I had the chance to see the person I was in love with and that very evening he was at the same open-air movie projection to which I went. They showed "Midnight in Paris", and so I discovered this wonderful song, in this wonderful rendition. The day after I was continuously listen to it, on RU-vid, through this video, in the hot sunny day of the italian summer, hoping to see him, hoping for love, dizzy of music and love. Great interpretation of a classic song. The singer really captures the innocence and wistfulness of the song, with perfect accent, perfect diction, sense of humor, etc. He makes the song live so intensely that everybody is talking about what a great song it is, and no one is mentioning the singer....that's a great job.

This song reminds me of the best love I ever had in my life. She was a student in the same campus I studied in. We talked a bit and she suggested "Midnight In Paris". i watched it and took hint of this innocent abd exhilirating music. I made her listen to it, and she also loved it. After few months, so many things went wrong. I finally couldn't keep up and declared love to her, but I was rejected, and since then, I haven't felt the way I did then. It hurts. I haven't talked to her ever since, and oh my god, I just have tons of things to say...
I just type everything I have to say, put her email address, and press the SEND button. I don't even know if she reads or discards my emails but at least I get things off my chest.

Being a lifelong Artist and Songwriter I loved Midnight In Paris my heroes from that era ! Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dali, Monet,& Cole Porter the Charleston I'd love to go back and meet these people !
It is easy. Go to the spot shown in the movie and wait for the midnight old car to pick you up. From that point onwards, you will be the center of attention. (Don't forget to keep some Valium with you though).

There was a delightful revue of Noel Coward songs and skits on Broadway in the 1970s entitled "Oh, Coward!". Even though "Let's Do It" was written by Cole Porter, it was included as Coward's homage to his contemporary. It had updated lyrics that were really funny. "Miss America/Under the flag does it./ The man from Glad/With a little bag does it".
Where are the Woody Allen's film credits rolling? :-) I'm here in 2020, in the middle of Covid-19 "Stay at home" times...Music and Cole Porter = ESSENTIAL SERVICE !!!
