My "mother" coleus is seven years old now, and I overwinter it and a few cuttings indoors every winter, then plant the cuttings in the flower bed the next summer. I wish I could find the tag for it! If it stays in the shade, it gets huge, dark purple leaves; in the sun, the purple turns into that typical coleus pinky-maroon color. I do get other coleus on sale each year to plant, but none of the others have overwintered well for me.
@@TheThriftedPlanter It was about two feet tall, but then it got hit with mealy bugs last fall, so it's only a foot now. I was worried I'd lose it, but it's still going strong! Just shorter lol.
