Colin Baker was funny and friendly despite being surrounded by Daleks. We'll have tons of footage from this event on next week's show. We recently interviewed Katy Manning: • Merry Christmas With K...
@@crazyvillainfan4877 He was. But to make things worse, because of Bad reviews, the BBC fired poor Colin Baker. I think they wanted him back for the 6th Doctor's final story, but Colin refused. So they ended up having the 7th Doctor put on a Wig to resemble Colin
Magnificent verbal fireworks! The Doctor literally surrounded by Daleks and yet THEY'RE the ones who are being intimidated. If you haven't had the opportunity, give some of Colin Baker's Big Finish audio adventures a listen. THESE are the epic Sixth Doctor tales we truly should have gotten. Wonderful man; wonderful Doctor!
If I was the 6th Doctor/Colin Baker's companion back then, I would've sued the BBC for bad working conditions to new actors. But the way they poorly treated Baker is the exact reason why
I've met Colin Baker twice. Both times he was a gentleman. The 1st time we met was at the stage door at the Theatre Royal Newcastle. He was in a play called out of order a farce. The 2nd time was at a Doctor Who convention in Washington Tyne & Wear my home town. I mentioned the play to him and told him that he was great in it and very kindly signed my copy of Doctor Who The Eighties. Sat next to Colin was Nicola Bryant. I asked jokingly if she still had the pink bikini she wore in Planet of Fire. She laughed and said " I don't have the figure anymore " Both Colin and Nicola were at the hotel where I live to promote The Trial of a Time Lord and were part of a panel. I went to the bar to order a drink. Geoffrey Hughes was beside me in the queue and we talked about Keeping up appearances Doctor Who Coronation Street and Heartbeat. He was a lovely man to talk to.
Thank goodness we stayed 1 flight up in Scotland felt safe in the 60ties the darlects could not climb stairs 😀 👍 then the cybermen were on the scene that was no joke , doctor who never missed an episode 😉 😀
That's actually one storyline I'd love to see. The Doctor finally making peace with the Daleks after he frees them from their travel machines restrictions. They then become an ally. Star Trek did that very well with Russians, Klingons and such. Plus, with other dimensions we can still have evil Daleks show up once in a while.
These are full size Daleks, made like the BBC, but better. you can find all the plans here. www.projectdalek.co.uk/mainsite/ Every dalek you see is made from these plans
Great man, and loved his role as the Doctor and everything it gave him. In fact he wanted to put perform Tom Baker's 7 year tenure. Those horrible powers that be intervened. Shame on them.
