I have no idea but whenever I see a dalek I get a huge smile on my face! So retro and trash can looking yet they are the most dangerous aliens in the universe. I give huge kudos to the writes able to keep the daleks and even the cyber men intriguing 50 years latter having both pretty much look the same the exact same throughout the generations. Here in America chances are the writers and designers would butcher them to look modern and techy. It would ruin the feel and fun of them.
