The WNBA needs men coaches to teach these women how to play better and be better on defense. Coaches that will push them to their limits and not just stand there with their hands up trying to block a shot. They may even get better verticals, than the 6 inch verticals they have now. At least teach them how to dunk.

Caitlin Clark is ahead of Taurasi in every stat except 3pt% and turnovers. She's hit more 3pt shots than Taurasi and most of her turnovers are because her teammates drop the passes. She belongs on the team ahead of Taurasi.

If Clark is selected for the Olympic Team, she needs to say no thanks because the Olympic coach will not play her, and the viewership ratings will be way up because people will tune in to watch Caitlin play. Afterwards, the WNBA will point out high the ratings were without Clark even playing! I sure hope she’s intelligent enough to beat them at their own game and come up with some kind of an excuse why she can’t join the team if asked.

I really hope they don't put her on the team. Not because she doesn't deserve it, (She ABSOLUTELY does!), but because she NEEDS the break. Both physically and emotionally. If she doesn't, then she will end up playing for over a YEAR straight without a break. That CAN’T be good for her. Roller Derby vibes! Every once in a while you can see the TALENT of any of these teams shining through!!! And then they start up again with the field goal layups,,etc. Smith dribbled herself out of bounds early on and she had a clear field in front of her. The game last night was PAINFUL TO WATCH!!! That long pass to the point made BUT a timeout was called for off the bench by sides just about made me faint?

Caitlin Clark Until stumbling over a news item, I had less than no interest in women's basketball, at any level. . One Second of seeing CC-22 impersonating Stephen Curry hooked me! The second second and I realized Caitlin Clark wasn't copying anybody! . Because what I know is based on clips showing her shooting half-court 3-pointers and making magical passes, reminiscent of Magic Johnson to Kareem when everyone in the stadium and home in front of their television KNEW the Sky-Hook was coming and nobody could stop it, I see patterns where the playing style of CC-22 is changing the team. Boston figured out that all she has to do is get below the basket, stick out a mitt and the basketball would appear in it. . Anyway, I think she is playing perfectly, playing her game and letting the team adjust to things like having a pass actually come to them, and supporting each others play. I think I see a team in name becoming a team in practice.

Clark attended Team USA Olympic Camp while she was in Iowa. She couldn’t make the last few team sessions because of the NCAA tournament. She was listed as an alternate for the team. While there are politics in place about bitter veterans. There is a practical aspect underneath. With Taurasi out… and Clark is a former alternate. There should be no reason she isn’t selected. She may be a rookie but she already has 2 U17 Team USA Gold Medals already.

Irrelevant. In 92, MJ wasn't a rookie. By saying that I am NOT saying that CC should not be in the team. But that's not comparable. In 92 MJ play 6 seasons in the NBA and won 2 titles. Why is the narrative always that she should be on the team because of her popularity and the ability to attract huge audiences (although that is a very compelling argument)? But that argument leaves open the debate that the Olympic team needs to have the best players on it, it's not about popularity. That being said, I've watched a few WNBA games in my life. All being Fever games. Those games being the Fever against the Liberty, Mercury, Lynx and some others. In every game, even against the best teams in the league, it was obvious that Clark was the best Guard on the floor bar none. Nobody attracted as much attention and still made her team better. So, let's drop the notion that Clark shouldn't be on the team because there are better guards on the Olympic team. Anybody with half a brain has to believe that Clark would make the USA team better by being on it.

Clark said she needed a break though, which was why she declined the 3 pt contest. She may not actually want to go to the Olympics. Her usage rate at Iowa was very high, probably all time high.

Arike deserves to be on Team USA before anyone else. She show out in the WNBA All-Star game against the USA Women’s Olympic team. Clark & Reese deserves to be in there also. As a matter fact, the entire WNBA All-Star team shoukd have gone to the Olympics since they beat the USA Olympic team.

Imagine if Tarausi made an announcement and said she is removing herself from Team USA due to injury and endorsed Caitlin Clark to replace her. DT would go from this villain person to a bit of a hero. It would be a great turn around and decision for her to do it.

Remember, Caitlen may not be playing at her fullest potential. She sustained a ruptured ear drum during the Fever's games against the New Liberty in June 2nd. which caused vertigo and dizziness taking weeks to a few months to completely heal. I can't wait to see her effortly launch 3 point shots when the Fever returns after the Olympics.

The saddest part of this whole mess is that Clark has been a huge fan of the wnba. The only reason some of us know about the league was because of for love and basketball. ( that movie was so great) or the negative headlines of the past decade that impacted players.
