I kinda think he's decently accurate on this one. Order outside of the top two you can argue all day, but when you actually consider what he's saying (meaning don't get caught looking at just the Shiny QB, or the great Coach) as far as balance and quality of both positions, he's got the right teams. I think in a year if say the Chargers HC and Geno Smith can improve and prove their last year wasn't a fluke respectively, Their teams get on the list.

Is Nick Wright trying to convince everyone that Russ svcks or is he trying to convince himself because he worries that Mahomes can’t match Russ? He seems really insecure, like he thinks Russ is the ONE QB who can wreck some GOAT legacy he thinks Mahomes should have. If you don’t like the guy, fine, but all of this talk about Russ’s skills declining sounds like wishful thinking not steeped in facts. Russ will answer these questions with his play. I have a feeling he’s going to embarrass a lot of people.

Pete Carroll-Geno Smith?? How is that not on the list. Geno was a backup a majority of his career. Pete starts him last season, he has the best season of his career while also being one of the best QBs statistically. This season is no different. Feel like they deserve some acknowledgment for that 🤷🏻‍♂️

I think you are maybe not quite understanding that it is about both QB and HC equally. You can be a great QB and have a weaker HC (Chargers) and also the opposite (Giants). Best teams have both.

Groupthink is one helluva drug. All of this Russ-bashing, like he’s Sam Darnold! Russ will be a top-3 QB this year, and he might wind up being the top dawg! I’ll put it this way: he’s more likely to win the MVP than he is to flake out this year. Russ isn’t even close to washed, and only the idiots think he is, or WANT him to be. Nick Wright is scared of Russ. He wishes Russ would get out of the league. That should tell you something. Burrow isn’t the biggest threat to Mahomes. Rodgers isn’t the biggest threat to Mahomes. Herbert, Watson, Jackson, Lawrence, Hurts…none of them are the biggest threat to Mahomes. IT’S RUSSELL FKN WILSON, and Nick Wright knows it!

From the leagues worst coach who is used to a quick-passing offense to a top 3-5 coach in the league who is used to working with an undersized QB, plus big upgrades on the O-line and in the run game. There is a lot to indicate that he will be better, and little reason to think he will be worse

well considering Russ played better once Hackett left is telling. 3's maybe a little rich, but there's not a ton outside the top two, maybe I'd move up the Bills pair and Bengals pair ahead of them.

@@twopregnantwomenfightingis2317 it’s hard for me to just assume a coaching change will make him good again, sure it’ll help… but he was bad from week 1 thru 18 last year. Missing open targets, slow to get the ball out (in a quick pass system), not mobile when he scrambled. That’s all before they lost their top tier RB and Oline. They couldn’t score more than 14 points a majority of the year, yet alone multiple first downs a drive. Hackett may not be great but he was more than capable w the Packers for years w Rodgers. He got Russ and looked like a girls HS coach when he didn’t run the ball (put it in Russ’s hands). It’s not like you didn’t have great weapons last year either. It falls on the QB1.

@@safwanmalik3 he was significantly better in the two weeks after Hackett left with an INTERN HC, nearly beating the league champs in KC and beating the a playoff team in the chargers. The missing open targets (especially in quick passing situations) is largely a result of an injured O-line and a coach who tried to mold Russel Wilson into Aaron Rodgers play style. Trying to change a scrambling QB to a pocket passing system is simply poor coaching. As for mobility, he showed that off a lot more in the last two weeks of the season without Hacket (again, two of his best games all season except for maybe week 1). He also noticeably lost weight in the offseason. Saying we had GOOD weapons is a stretch (none of our WRs are top 15 or even top 20), let alone GREAT weapons. There are no guarantees in the NFL, but there is a lot of reason to think he will be better next year.

@@twopregnantwomenfightingis2317 I see what you’re saying but even if you just looked at the first 5 weeks where his Oline was fully healthy and still had his best RB, he was a bottom 7 Qb in the league and was getting torched in the media for missing open targets. I’m sure you can blame some of that on poor HCing and unfamiliarity w system, but it’s the NFL, he’s a long time vet. You’re really not owed any excuses at this point if we’re being honest. I don’t think he was a bottom 35-40 QB as stats show last year but I think he’s days as a top 15 Qb are long gone. Especially when you consider, even in Seattle he had 3 declining seasons in a row before the trade (injuries being a factor too). Still think he’s good but the flaws are showing more and more w age, not being able to scramble to make a flashy play like he once did exceptionally. Most people argued he had great weapons in Denver before the trade, where’d that go? WRs can’t look good w bad QB play in their defence…. Time will tell tho!
